@@Obliter8Dave Luckily I am multilingual. And of Dutch origen. Twin-Motorcycles can get you nearly every part. My bike didn't have old oil, whatsoever. But I will just change it to be on the safe side with my 'latest-model-classic'. Many mods done but left maintenance to experts. Though now 10 years after closing I decided to do the rest myself, except brakes. Just keep messing with the fluids. This bike goes perfect with my European spec Ford Ranger raptor, and my near 24 feet BBQ trailer See #PuraLeña for amazing products. Small Grom for reliable town hopping. Buell is just too loud, jajaja. Again, thanks for your efforts. I sure want to keep it.

And being multilingual, I have sourced many parts in several countries. To create an all in style modded bike. Hey I liked the Rizoma bar end mirrors. As they are homologated here in Europe. But they only had them in silver. So a few weeks of creating different email and forum accounts. And requesting black version in different languages. And voila! They started making them in black. Hooray. All mods are reversible, with the exception of the ugly USA safety stickers. So I am sure I made a good investment.

I would pre fill the filter better on the engine. My 2000 1200s has almost 102,000 miles on it and I also use vr1 but sae 60 because I live in Florida 🍊🍊
@Obliter8Dave6 жыл бұрын
You can prefill the filter, and the manual has it listed as a step, but seeing as our oiling system is such low pressure, unless you were to completely drain your system of all oil, residual oil in the lines/engine will fill the filter up very quickly. Also, as an aside, when you disassemble your motor and reassemble, you run the engine just about completely dry the first time to get oil flowing back through all the lines as part of the reassembly process. Since the engine is running at such low rpms and you are letting it idle until warm up every ride, it should not make a large impact on your engine as long as you don't rev your engine when you start it and let it warm up for a couple of minutes like normal. This was something my Buell mechanic and I talked about and he agreed.

FYI, the W on the oil bottle stands for "Winter," as the first number represents the viscosity of the oil, when it is cold.

hey bro its me again, did you know how to fix the TPS, when I turn on my motorciclye a red light its on, and did you know what this mean, or what damage can be affect the motorcicle if a run without fixed
@Obliter8Dave7 жыл бұрын
omar flores are you referring to the red light at the bottom right of your dash? The low oil pressure light is red on my dash in that location. It should be on prior to starting your bike. After your bike is running, it should turn off within seconds. After an oil change, sometimes it can take a few more seconds for the pressure to build up in the line on the first startup. If you haven’t done so, please check your oil level and make sure you have at least 2.5 quarts of oil in the oil tank. If that light is still on, either your oil level is so low that you are not getting any pressure at the oil pump (sensor is located under the pump near the oil filter) or there may be something clogging your oil line near the sensor. I’ve had a little silicone block the oil bypass hole at the pump and cause the sensor to show low pressure when in fact it was fine. As for TPS reset, depending on the year of your bike it is done differently. On 08’ and up XB’s, it is done without having to use any external program. On bikes older than 2008 you can use ECMDroid to do a tps reset. There are tutorials on doing that online as well.

@Obliter8Dave7 жыл бұрын
If it is a fuel pump for a 2008+ buell it should be a direct fit. However, newer fuel pump assemblies can use older pumps as well... the main difference physically is the strainer is different on older pumps. If you have any direct questions, you can contact Jacob at MotoEnthusiasts.com and he can help you out. He is my mechanic buddy.

@Obliter8Dave6 жыл бұрын
I would think removing the starter and replacing the gasket and making sure everything is torqued correctly would be the course of action. Are you absolutely sure it is at the starter gasket and not oil coming off your rocker boxes or base gasket pooling up near the starter?

You can idle the bike for a few minutes or go for a short ride to get the oil circulating through the engine fully. And check the oil right after you shut the engine off with the bike on the kickstand.

omar flores with your bike, you should use either a USB connector to the diagnostic port or Bluetooth adapter on the diagnostic port and a program like ECMSpy (paid) or ECMDroid(free android app) to reset the tps. I use ECMDroid with an android tablet to check diagnostics on my bike. With the 2008+ Xb's you do the tps reset without any apps.
