I lived in Buenos Aires for 10 years. Today you can rent a one bedroom in a great neighborhood for around 600 dollars a month, including everything.

To rent an apartment you need a surety insurance, (seguro de caucion). But to get that you need an Argentine ID card. How do you get those?
@markrush2319Ай бұрын
@Bobxchen333 Have you ever rented an apartment in Buenos Aires? Cash is king in Buenos Aires. I was in Buenos Aires Argentina in 2022 during the World Cup. I rented an apartment in San Telmo from an owner for 6 months for 650 dollars 💸 a month with everything included. If you can pay in cash, you won't have to go thru all this red tape.

The owner of that apartment only wanted to know if I had a valid passport, and I did.

Nice apartments. I wonder how some people who live there afford them considering the average income for a single person hovers around $600 per month. (From what I hear)

Consider that Buenos Aires is massive. The Metropolitan area has 15 million people. The city itself has 46 neighborhoods, each with different price ranges for housing. We focused on the apartments in neighborhoods with restaurants, amenities, and lifestyle that appeals most to expats. Prices are always higher in the most desirable areas of a city. Buenos Aires is no exception.

I have a gf from Buenos Aires. She says to rent a house is about $400. Watch out for the gringo taxes. Same as in Costa Rica. They rip you off. Locals can't pay that.

I have a question. When someone travel to Argentina, they dont need a visa if they stay only 90 days. How long do they have to stay outside Argentine (Lets say Bolivia or Uruguay) before they again can enter Argentine for abother 90 days stay without visa?

Your question is very timely, we are putting the finishing touches on our Visa Run video answering all you need to know about Argentina/Uruguay visa runs. Hit that notification bell and you 'll be the first to know when it is released later this week. Short answer: You can do a visa run and re-enter the same day.

Especially the stuff on Real Estate Agents...but I have been having real difficutly talking with actual owners where we were looking at (Pinamar and MarDel) and most of the stuff along the beach are agent listings with property management companies. As far as BA goes. That is a whole different animal from what I have been able to tell and has been a utter nightmare. Hardly anyone responds to any inquiries. Thanks for the excellent neighborhood map tool. Passing off less desirable neighborhoods for the more desirable ones is a common practice in my city of Medellin too. For those of us who know the city the discrepancies are laughable. Is there much of an unfurnished apartment market in BA also? I'd prefer to buy my own furniture and maybe get a cheaper base price on the rent. Thorough content and the hours that went into this are much appreciated.

Yeah, the neighborhood thing is frustrating, especially because Google maps doesn't highlight neighborhoods when searching address. There are plenty of unfurnished apartments, but they tend to all be long-term rentals.
