Perfect setup. One pass and it's clean. I prefer a front mount blower.
@EverythingElliottКүн бұрын
Front mount blower would be ideal, but I gotta use what I have for right now!
@ML-lg4ky5 сағат бұрын
Nah that’s the perfect setup. One pusher for the lite snows and a blower for the heavy ones! Plus you can use the loader to move firewood around!
@oldguyfirewoodКүн бұрын
That blower does a great job Elliott. I do some plowing for my landscape customers here in NC but haven’t had any snow the last 2 years. Marketplace here is full of guys selling their plows!
@EverythingElliottКүн бұрын
I wouldn’t expect much snow in NC, but I guess there are always those freak storms down south!
@oldguyfirewoodКүн бұрын
@ up until 3 years ago I was plowing an average of 3 storms a year around here. The last two years we’ve gotten nothing.

Doing that in reverse would destroy my back and neck. Good job on making that driveway clean.

Oh don’t get me wrong, it isn’t comfortable. But my back and neck hurt way less doing this than if I were to shovel the driveway!

Was at my girlfriends in South Cheektowaga for the weeked, we got 2 feet! 10 minutes north and the snow disappeared just past the Galleria...my house in the Town of Tonawanda not one single flake fell, and in fact I cleaned the leaves up when I went home in Sunday...sure beats moving snow! 😄
@EverythingElliott7 сағат бұрын
It’s funny how sharp of a line the snowband will draw. I could be moving 2’ of snow and 20 miles north of me, you’re mowing your lawn!
@jrcrandall6047Күн бұрын
I was wondering how much you got compared to me. I would have to say about the same. But you seem to have more fun. GO BILLS, great game last night

Elliott, What a difference 50 miles makes. We didn't get any snow up here in the northern burbs. That snowblower makes easy work of that snow. The only missing from your snow operations is a good cigar.
@EverythingElliott15 сағат бұрын
You could probably mow your lawn up in the northtowns!

That works great I live near Buffalo also but we haven’t got any snow yet . Looking forward to using my Bobcat 2040 with a Meteor three point snow blower.
@EverythingElliottКүн бұрын
You must be up north then, everyone in the southtowns got some. I’ve used a skid steer blower before, they work great. Plus you’re inside a cab.

Set up works well. I am a few hrs from you in Oswego. We only got about a couple of inches. That's good. My new ro me truck gets the plow switched over tomorrow. I have a Mahindra Max 28 and a 66-inch Farm King. I use it to keep the wood pile area cleaned up. I welded a pipe on the cutting edge last year. It does help. I like the casters wheels.
@EverythingElliottКүн бұрын
I seen a lot of guys use that pipe trick, but mostly mixed reviews if they like it or not

well done , i hope we get a 3 footer here in Maryland . best to all john

@@EverythingElliott well i think i do , front blower for the JD tractor.blower for the Toolcat meyers blade for the jeep, blade for the Bobcat , chains for all , and if that doesn't work a JD 544 or a Case track loader , let it snow let it snow let it snow , john

Greetings from Marilla! Our snow total was about 14 inches also. The cling, cling, cling of the gravel going thru the blower sounds very familiar. Best wishes when the next snow ban hits in a few days.
@EverythingElliottКүн бұрын
The casters do a great job, but you still get some rouge gravel that makes its way through

Homestead Implements makes high quality implements, I have a root grapple from them I bought in 2020. We got 2' of snow in NW Montana weekend before thanksgiving, off course the ground is soft, so plowing is not that great of an experience. Snowblower I wait to light up until I have a good snow/ice base. Your L4701 is about the same size as my TYM T474. Seem to do a good job........but I can't do the open rear ones due to neck injury.
@EverythingElliott15 сағат бұрын
Homestead is actually local to me, that’s why I went with them! I did a tour of their facility when I picked my pusher up, really nice plant! How do you like your tym?

No snow yet in Toronto, although that may change this week. My FIL has an inverted snow blower on order...cannot wait to see how it goes.
@EverythingElliottКүн бұрын
My buddy has one and he swears by it. I’m not convinced that driving over the snow before removing it is the best, but I’ve heard good things!
@jamesbaintonКүн бұрын
@EverythingElliott I had the same concerns but watched a ton of KZbin vids and it seems that they weigh 1000lbs and have a cutting edge...so it isn't an issue
@jamesbaintonКүн бұрын
@@EverythingElliott that said, not sure how it would handle the larger snows that you get. This one is good to about 22" of depth.

I really like the casters, they work really well, and I can leave the blower down when I drive around with no stress on the 3 point arms because they can free spin 360°

Beats plowing and fighting snowbanks. Do you use the box blade for a final clean-up scrape?

I use the snow pusher when my son wants to come out and do the driveway with me. When he’s sitting on my lap I can’t turn around in the seat to look behind me the entire time.
