The Buffalo River Trail is approximately 37 miles from the Boxley Trailhead to Pruitt Landing.
The Boxley to Ponca section is a challenging start with a lot of green tunnel.
Ponca to Kyles Landing is very scenic.
From Kyles Landing to Pruitt you will see some of the history of the Buffalo River area.
Be sure to spend some time exploring the Parker Hickman Homestead.

I just got back from there. I hiked from steel creek toward Kyle's landing. Camped at horseshoe bend and took the old river trail back to Steel creek. That area is amazing. Thank you for your videos.

It is indeed a beautiful area. That hike down to horseshoe bend will make you feel like a mountain goat! The camp spot on the bend would be awesome to camp at!

@Old Guy Walking It was very nice although when I decided to camp next to the river I failed to consider how heavy the canoe traffic would be. I don't know if I was on an official trail or not, but the trail I took down from the top wasn't marked and was completely gone in many places. I had to zig and zag a bunch to find it again. Looked like it hadn't been used in a long time.

I 'm pretty sure the trail was built by the park service and volunteers not the CCC. The CCC was active in the Buffalo Point area.
