There are various strategies on the model railway to avoid power dips and the resulting flickering and dropouts. Buffer circuits and power packs offer a solution. What are they really worth?
The effect of buffer circuits is compared and the technical background is explained using various examples of wagon interior lighting and the support of digital decoders. The power packs from Märklin (# 60974) and Lenz (# 10490) are being tested.
