God I love this final boss theme(yes i know its not technically final boss but don't care)! It's so freaking kickass!!! How the hell did the Chrono series never continue?!

You can't replicate perfection. Gettting the whole original team responsible for the game back together again would be more trouble than it's worth, plus Chrono Cross came out at a time when the PS2 was looming over everyone's heads and the PS1's whole library was already chock-full of many RPGs like it. When it did release, it ended up being a financial flop, so the guys at Squeenix never even bothered to make games outside of compilations or remakes for that series ever again.

@@JJ18355 that's utter bull! (Btw, replications and sequels are two different things XP). Even without a game related to this, we've had little to zero games with this much time travel plot behind it and in an rpg at the same time! The only thing that even comes close within the last decade is ff13-2 (and considering no one wanted that, give or take, in comparison), it's baffling this game has ever to be remade or restarted as it is now!

@@killeing Try [Another Eden] it's written by the same Chrono series writer Masato Kato himself. And it also got Chrono Cross collab! Trust me the story is good and it might satiate your need of time travel jrpg plot

@@WH00ZAH actually im well aware of that game and do play the heck out of it :P............ between updates....... the painfully obnoxious gaucha system is seriously annoying when it comes to pulls so i usually wait till more characters (which means more draw chances) are available between updates. but despite that theres plenty of stuff to do in it and its loads fun ^^ but i still wish we had a continuation of the main story for the chrono series, it was one of the best things out there...

@@killeing Oh trust me the gacha isn't even that bad imo. I can do the main story content just fine without the so called "meta" units. This game is much better than other gacha games which require you to have specific character or else you don't survive. Well gacha characters best used for superboss and hidden boss here but thats about it imo. The story is what pulls me into this game. really a spiritual successor of Chrono series

If you knew their relationship at this point in the chronology (ugh...) you'd know why the game calls it that.

@@DammitParkingMeter Runs deeper than that. Dragon God was consumed by the Devourer. What Serge and co. fought practically WAS the Devourer in all the ways that matter, taking the Dragon God's form and masquerading as the thing.

I didn't get Glenn on my first playthrough; who should I use instead?

It doesn't really matter what character you use, Glenn is just one of the best physical characters but any character works. Grobyc is good as well, but probably dies at ultra nova, just need revives. Orlha and Karsh are fine as well. The game is not really hard.

Leveling in Chrono Cross is actually quite throttled since growth levels come from defeating bosses.
