Around the time I made this comment, I might have said season 6, but now I think I would say season 7. It has some greats, like all of the seasons do, but most of the episodes just kind of blur together for me. And I hated Buffy and Giles being so at odds with each other all the time. All Buffys are amazing ….i found this season to be great because everything is new for buffy…new school,new boyfriend, new giles…and buy seeing this it makes you feel like your watching it for the first time and feeling like its the first day of college. Very well done

All of the seasons of buffy are extremly well done, and I couldn't imagine them any other way, I love seasons 5 and 6 because they are really dark and evil, I like season 4 as well, not as much as 5 and 6, but season 4 just goes into so much detail with hush and restless, so many of my favourite episodes in one season. Well done trailer. Completely goes with the season

i feel like season four was one of the only seasons in which very single episode collectively contributed to the big bad. i think the only other seasons that managed that was season 5. four might not be the most enjoyable but overall it's definitely not as bad as people make it out to be

So true!!! This show even began before I was born. I must say this is STILL better than most modern TV SHOWS which has only one better season and the rest went down to weak-plot land and the characters are something like out of a cliche romance novel. Buffyverse has many human flaws we could relate to. Buffy and Angel series never lose their momentum. I am rewatching the entire series because that's how much I love buffy!

@Aaeiyn Spike definitely had the best quotes. "A bear! You made a bear! UNDO IT! UNDO IT!" He was the only one of Buffy's lovers who could make me laugh consistently. And he had those moments of shifting moods where he'd be pissed off and then make that "awww" look at Buffy. I also felt that considering what he was - a soulless vampire - he treated Buffy the best. In the end, he never left her. Okay. I'm a fangirl. Sorry. I really do like that you support Riley. Most people don't.

I kinda saw season 4 as the transition season from the previous 3 seasons, which were a little more teenage and lighthearted, into the later 3 seasons of a much more adult and darker show. It might have not been the best season (though still had some GREAT eps), but it was a necessary one.

Season 4 became sucky because of Riley and the institute. This season was a total change because of high school ending, characters leaving, no library meetups anymore, not complete scooby gang.. But there are at least some good episodes in it, new love interest of Willow, it just atleast made it a little better.

Spike makes the show beginning in season 2 , then 3 to 5. He is dynamite. Then 5 to 7 , he becomes an arc in the story.

Season 4 was definitely different from seasons 1-3. Not just the initiative commando thing but the whole season itself. To me it was like buffy and friends were in a whole nother reality maybe it's just me, but I think season four was awesome and the hush episode was creep good.

Sarah looking so good doing the kicks, a lot scenes was edit with double, but should be edit with Sarah, because was filmed with she doing the same fight, she was able to do a lot of kick like a round round kick, crescent kick, back kick, front... I understand the need to kill Tara to make progress with Willow's character, but what I'm most pissed off about it is that she was killed in the episode she was creditted as main. The second thing I'm most pissed it that she was too quickly replaced by a pushy slayer wannabe. Other than that, I understand the need to kill her character.

Um, wrong, if you never watched Buffy, you'd have no idea what to expect from this. You'd only know basic things like the Initiative and Spike being captured(That pretty much being it except for college) most Trailers are made for those who HAVEN'T seen what's going on. Trailers give some of the story but only enough to keep you wondering.

@Aaeiyn But he *couldn't* accept her, that was the whole point halfway through season 5 when he left. I liked their chemistry in season 4 but Buffy and Riley had a nice relationship building and it could have been really good for them. But as soon as he had the heart surgery and had to be like a normal human, he couldn't stand that she was stronger than him. I certainly respect your opinion and commend you for being one of the few to support Riley though. In the end, I go for Spike.

@Aaeiyn Riley was upset because, yes, he thought she wasn't turning to him like a girlfriend should, but Buffy was trying to deal with Glory by that point, and as she directly said to him, "I'm right here. Touch me." When Riley discovered that he was so strong from the Initiative drugs, he didn't want to get his heart fixed because then he'd be weak. So, to me, that says he was insecure about Buffy's strength. I don't like how Buffy treated him either =( ... But I like Spike very much.

Joss Whedon said he liked the idea of moving a character from recurring guest star to main character and then killing them off in the same episode. But yeah, I agree, Kennedy is so annoying. Also, what bugs me most is Joss Whedon was going to have an episode where Buffy was granted one wish, and he was going to bring Tara back. But the episode never ended up happening. :(

I even enjoyed Superstar, haha. The only real stinkers are Beer Bad and, to some, Where the Wild Things Are (although it has some funny moments) and Doomed. That's a better batting average than Season 2, although the overall arc of Season 2 was better. I think only Season 3 matches 4 in episode-for-episode quality.

Season 4 gets a bad rap because of the overarching plot, but there are some damn fine individual episodes in this season. I'd tentatively say that Season 4 has more really good, entertaining episodes than any other season. Hush, Restless, This Year's Girl/Who Are You, Something Blue, A New Man, Pangs, Wild at Heart (except Veruca, blech), Fear Itself, The I in Team, Harsh Light of Day, even Primeval. The Freshman, The Yoko Factor, The Initiative and New Moon Rising are good, solid episodes.

This was very much a transitional season IMO. It had some of what once was (Seasons 1-3) but it also gave us what was to come (Seasons 5-7). Angel/Cordelia move on to Angel, Oz leaves because Seth Green wanted more movie work and they are replaced by Spike, Tara and Anya whom last pretty much the rest of the show for the most part. Personally, while Tara ultimately served her purpose, I had always wished Oz had stayed on the show or became a regular on Angel. Season 4 was textbook transition.
