If you actually look into the issue rather than gulping down any bullshit that is spoon fed to you, you'd know that Carpenter kept her pregnancy a secret from Joss and the network and they had already written season 4. But then Carpenter told them about her pregnancy way later, which FORCED them to completely re-write season 4 so that her character being pregnant would make sense. Which is why they had to write it so that Connor and Cordelia slept together which was such a poor writing decision, but their hands were tied. If she had told them about her pregnancy earlier, maybe season 4 wouldn't have been the dumpster fire that it was

It was a well-circulated rumor at the time that Charisma Carpenter's exit from Angel was because of Joss Whedon, and his terrible treatment of both CC and the character of Cordelia. Until season 3, CC had a protector in David Greenwalt, but he also exited the show following rumors of major behind-the-scenes disagreements with JW. This isn't some cancel-culture grievance that people have decided to bring up because they aren't happy with JW. This is a long-standing pattern of bullying and intimidation from a showrunner and director; and the people he has worked with who have stayed silent due to fear of losing their livelyhoods. It’s weird that none of the other actors that have replied have said that they actually knew there was a problem except Michelle but this does explain why Sarah won’t even consider doing anything for Buffy. I’d be interested to hear Anthony Head’s response. As far as Fisher is concerned, he’s the only person from the entire cast of Justice League that’s been complaining and he did more damage to himself than anything else. He’s got zero movies under his belt and I doubt anyone will hire him now
@thomashong29383 жыл бұрын
Anthony Head is saying that he didn’t have a clue that all this was going on. He’s shocked because he always thought that Buffy was an empowering show and that there was a family atmosphere working there. He didn’t know about the stuff with Charisma because she had moved over to Angel and by that time, he was long gone from Buffy. But he is disturbed by allegations from Michelle and others about stuff happening on the Buffy set. He always saw himself as a father figure to the rest of the cast and he wishes that they had told him about all this. He says that there are always high and lows on every set. His response is on video. Go to the KZbin channel This Morning. There’s a video there called Anthony Head Reveals Pandemic Similarities with Dark-Comedy Show School’s Out Forever. (Or just type in the name of the video.) The interviewer asks Anthony about the Whedon controversy at the 3:51 mark of the 7:10 video.

He did the same thing when his ex-wife talked came out and said he was pretending to be a feminist, but was very mentally abusive. Time passed and people started hiring him again. He's strategic. I hope these revelations and Synder Cut are the nails in his career.

Now I know why Cordelia just disappeared after that season. I hated that season with her turning evil and being with Connor, so it was a just a way to get rid of her. I’m sure that was so distressing because women already be nervous about getting pregnant during a shows run and not knowing what might happen to their character. To ask her if she was gonna keep her baby. Like what? 😧 I remember Buffy ending abruptly too because Sarah didn’t want to do another season and even Alyson being surprised, and I thought they were pretty friendly off screen. I don’t know if it was Joss or her just over the show or what. But she definitely is enjoying being a mom so I guess that’s what she was ready to do.

A lot of these people are supporting her but they haven't publicly said they witnessed any of this. That is a subtle distinction. Also some of the complaints seem on the lesser side of magnitude. I would give these allegations a lot more credibility if hadn’t started with Ray Fisher accusing Whedon and making claims which he never backed up with any evidence or details.The studio complained that during the investigation Ray Fisher was non cooperative and Charisma Carpenter’s own letter admits that it was Ray Fisher who approached her to convince her to come out against Whedon, eventually resulting in a revamped version of the complaint she made 20 years ago.Ray Fisher has everything to gain since his role was cut down in the original JL and it’s in his interest to use this narrative to promote the Snyder cut, which wouldn’t you know, he now has a bigger role in.
