This scene is amazing!!!! Buffy is on a date with Owen and Angel arrives to warn her about the Anointed One and the prophecy, but she tells him that she is on a date, here the face of Angel is a mix of many emotions and it takes him by surprise because when Buffy tells him that she is with someone else he shows sad and amazed, when she introduces both here he looks angry, arrogant even territorial and presumed because his first reaction is looking Owen up and down and when Xander and Willow arrive there is so funny because they first are inventing a story that they are there together and like Buffy is mistified about it and she doesn't believe this they finally tell her that she needs to go to the funeral home, because they saw some guys who were having fun referring to the vampires, and she doesn't have any response and when she says "bite me" she looks Angel. The greatest thing here is the interaction between Angel and Xander because their faces are an indication that both are jealous of Owen. And when she kisses Owen the face of Angel here is disbelief and sad because we know that he likes her and loves her. So Never kill a boy on the first date is an astonishing episode because here Buffy learns that she can't date out with someone who don't know anything about her condition as Slayer because the person who date with her have to know everything about her in an act of trust, respect and love. So the words of Xander here have a overwhelming meaning because he tells her that she needs a guy who knows her deepest and darkest secrets and despite of all he says "I love this girl". Finally this is true because the guy who really knows her and thinks this despite the distance and the passing of time it's Angel. So thanks Xander for your wisdom. The Scooby Gang and Angel and Buffy Forever!!!!

From my understanding he had to have knee surgery in season 6 of Angel and couldn't really work out. That's why he gained weight. I'm guessing after the show ended, it allowed him to heal and he was able to get back in the gym for bones.

Spuffy was even worse because they had to ruin Spike/Drusiila, which I LOVED, as well for it to happen. What can I say, I'm a loyalist.

@@triciavitagliano I cling to the 'cookie dough' speech as proof Buffy intends to go back to Angel once she's ready. And in Season 5 of Angel - I think it's 'The Hole in the World' Spike said something like 'she may not be with me, but I still care about her' - which to me implies he's accepted that he doesn't have to be in a romantic relationship with Buffy to support her the way she really needs from him. When Buffy and Spike first teamed up to 'save the world' in Season Two, I liked their dynamic as more of an exasperating older brother and bratty kid sister who still always have each others' backs - which James Marsters actually said was what his and Sarah's actual relationship on set was like (he was about ten years older than she was, after all.) I think a lot of people blame Angel for leaving Buffy 'for her own good', forgetting it was JOYCE who demanded it. And Angel IS from the past where you were expected to have parental consent to date a girl. Don't get me wrong; I loved Joyce as a comic character, but I never saw her as a really responsible adult who gave her daughter the best advice. Angel COULD have said politely, 'I'm sorry Joyce, but Buffy is an adult now (she turned 18 in Season 3), and it is her choice whether or not she wants to date me, and if you don't think I'm good enough for her you should be discussing this with her, not ordering me off' - but Angel had so much guilt from his past, I don't think he could fairly be expected to stand up for his right to date whoever wanted to be with him. Joyce never admitted or apologized to Buffy for interfering like that. I'd listen if my parents objected to my dating somebody; they have more experience after all - but in the end it is MY decision whether to take their advice and I would be FURIOUS if my mother went behind my back to get someone away from me! Fortunately my mom would never do something like that. I just think it's unfair when Angel gets the criticism that Joyce deserves. If Buffy had KNOWN Angel had only left because of her mom's interference, I think she would have gone after him and fought for them at once. I think she only moved on because she genuinely believed it was Angel's desire that they separate. Wish Willow's 'magic angle' had been developed to have her working secretly to restore Angel's soul for everyone, rather than it driving her crazy, but I guess that wouldn't have been depressing enough! Did you like Cordy with Xander? I never liked any couple either of them had quite as much as them together. I felt Cordy started becoming a much better person from the moment she chose to date a 'social outcast', and I liked their dynamic in fighting evil sort of on the fringes together. It took me a while, because I'm big on friends to lovers and initially shipped Xander and Willow, but I wonder whether that could have lasted anyway. Willow was so academically smart that I wonder if she would have found a long-term relationship with Xander disappointing, since he couldn't really share in such a key part of her life? Just a thought. And I thought she and Oz were really cute together. I hated how they broke up. Come to think if it, I really hated most of the break-ups on this show. Most of them didn't seem to have any realistic reason behind the tragedy. In my arrogant opinion 😁
