Probably. Never built something like this, but here in the coastal carolinas (also a very swampy/marshy region), you can find all kinds of old petrified wood from all kinds of things that have been under the mud and water for god knows how long. Its almost like the wood gets harder and preserves in that sort of environment. I even know a guy who hunts for that sort of wood to build high dollar furniture out of. Also, thanks for paying respect to the Ghost of Kiyv with your picture...

Hey Caden. It was a lot of work spread out over many months. doing a little bit each weekend. I was able to roll my generator out there to run my compressor and saws. the lumber I tossed on my shoulder. Its about 150, 200 yards from the dry pine flats where i staged my materials. repairing has been more of an undertaking. I cant really wade some items out there so I have been trying to temp fix the old walk so I can make the upgrades. Hi I'm from Pennslyvania but when I was growing up I always visited my great grandparents and their orange trees in Lakeland Florida. I loved Florida. My hubby and I want to retire in the next couple of years and are thier any really inexpensive places to live left? We are broke but cant afford to stay whare we are at. We don't want to live near a tourest at trap. Just a quiet place whare no one will bother us. Are you not afraid of the alligators? I could understand being leary of water moccasins, we have copperhead and rattlesnakes plus a couple of water poisonous snakes. When I was small small I had a runin with a rattler on my grandfathers farm. It just missed me. Any advice in areas to look?
@slidingwithsasquatch6983 Жыл бұрын
Hey. Hope your are well. Thanks for watching. I have family in Lakeland and grand babies there. that place has really turned into something. I surly hope you can find a piece of Florida that fills your soul. as far as cheaper places, that all depends on what and where you want to be. Away from any big metropolitan area is key. Ocala is a out of the way place. has a state forest there. center of the state will always be cheaper. Anything unincorporated. County. Not city limits. I don't care how small a city is, they will tread on you. I am in Volusia county. wish I was a little more south. we still get 1 or 4 days of cold (29 degrees) that keeps us from growing mangoes and such. I hate covering plants but all in all I love the swamp. Lots of people have started moving here in the last few years so things may have changed. 1 bedroom apartments are about 12 to 14 hundred a month. Come this September things are really gonna turn bad. At least for a few years. It might open up opportunities for you. Good fortune to you and your husband.

No gators. There might be one that passes through but there are lakes with more food then the swamp. Thanks for watching.

It just buys time via the difficulty of a travel. 2 weeks is all I feel it will be useful. After that its uncharted. Plan for the worst and hope for the best. Hope we never need to use such places.

Greetings. You know they can. lol but for some reason they are very light out there. Lack of food perhaps. I guess if we spend any time out there that will change. I have a very heavy population of dragonfly's that are helping with that. Just hope the ticks never boom. Thanks for watching.

Honestly they are not that bad. There is not a lot of animals in the swamp. Little food. It is much worse up at the house. Thanks for watching p
