I thought about buying a Peavey 6505 112 plus Combo, but after hearing this I want a Bugera Tric Rec. That is the most powerful metal sound I have heard in my life.

I just got one from Guitar Center a few days ago. I'm still dialing it in and it's being kind of a pain. So far I like my 6262 way better. The Trirec sounds flubby in the low end and I don't really want to run a boost out front. I will see what an eq in the loop will do and do a few other things, but I may let it go. The cleans are amazing though.

@@realwelder3529 I have a Tri Rec head and the flubby low end bothers me too. Let me know how your experiment goes. I thought something was wrong with mine, but you verified it for me that it’s just the voicing. Thanks! I also have the Bugera 333XL and it’s a killer amp! I’ve also got a Bugera 412 cab. I removed the (terrible) Turbo Sound speakers and stereo board. I stuck a single 1/4” jack in there and rewired the whole thing in series/parallel to make it 16ohms, and installed four Celestion Vintage 30’s. I’m gonna try an EQ pedal in the FX loop of my Tri Rec too. I actually bought a cheap Danelectro Fish N Chips EQ pedal but haven’t tried it out yet. I also experimented with changing tubes out in my Tri Rec but it didn’t make much of a difference. I was totally consumed by that ordeal a couple of years ago.

@@guitarzan2979 Well, I ended up letting the Bugera Trirec go back, because it developed a problem. While I had it though, I liked it with a tubescreamer out front, although I had to sacrifice the cleans a little. I recently, bought a Mesa Dual Rec and matching oversized cab and honestly, it sounds pretty much the same as the Bugera Trirec did. The Mesa is growing on me, but I have been so used to the 6505-style gain structure that it just doesn't "feel" the same.

Bro these amps are versatile as hell and they come with a free 3 year warranty straight from Bugera which covers ALL amp failures. I used to power my amp right up with no warm up time. Bugera replaced it twice for free. Even called me up and said "this is due to not letting the amp heat up before disengaging standby, give it AT LEAST three minutes." I was barely giving it one. This is where the myth comes from. I now let it heat up for 5 or more, not a single issue since then.

Got a trirec 2 weeks back largely based on your vids. Love it man. Sounds great out of the box and very tweakable. This coming from a guy who owns ENGL and Diezel amps. I have played with various tube combo's and got a real fat sound but honestly all combo's sounded great. Needless to say I'm very impressed. BTW, I have a rampage tribute too and absolutely love it.

Thank you for your comment, man. As a guy with good ears but blue collar budget (haha) that says a lot for the Bugera that you rank it closely with your ENGL and Diezel gear. I just hope if drop my dough on one, the quality isn't as bad as I have been hearing online ...

I've own the Bugera tri rec for about 3 years now. I have only replaced the tubes like twice and never have experienced any issues electronically with the amp. I have used the amp in many situations and its fwwken killer. Just the right amount of compression and very tight Bass The only thing that got me was the channel switching and the pop noise you hear when switching but besides that the amp has stayed true with me. I just recently bought a fender evh 5150 50 watt so thats my baby now. But the tri rec is my backup up

Cant aford the king of all amps wich is without any doub Mesa Boogie, but this is what drives me closer and closer in to buying my first tube amp. Tube amp is something you might wanna rent if you cant aford one. The maintaince of these amps and the cost is hughe for home recordings and when you dont play ina band you never know when you gonna need one for an actual gig so in a way you still want one..

@calin.86 9 жыл бұрын
this means you are looking for the same tone that i am. i bought recently an orange rockerverb 100mkii with an orange cab ppc412hp-8 and it's divine. It's the combination of warmness and aggressiveness and it's the most watery sound that i've ever heard, not a bit of dryness. From what you tell me this is what you are looking for. My advice is to sell your rectifier and buy an orange. Check them out and test them yourself, and you will become a fan instantly.

Seems a bit tighter, edgier and than the MESA if you check out Fluff's demo. That's my impression. I'd go MESA if your looking into some older tone, more throaty, a bit duller. If you want that slight extra brilliance and crunch, maybe Bugera. Very similar. my 2c!

I know this video is old but there are recent comments here. I have two questions that no one seems to know the answer to, or if they do, I couldn't find it. Maybe you Ryan or anyone who knows can help me. : ) I have a 6262 Infinium head (as you know, the outputs are switchable between 4, 8 and 16 Ohms) and a Palmer 2x12" cabinet with 8 Ohms G12T 75 Celestion speakers. The cabinet gives me the choice of running it in mono (4 Ohms) or stereo (8 Ohms). My questions are: 1. Which one of the two loads puts less stress on the amplifier? 2. Are there any advantages in running the speakers individually at 8 Ohms rather than the two together at 4 Ohms? Thanks in advance!
@ya8aweenaystrday
@ya8aweenaystrday 8 жыл бұрын
Higher ohms are always gonna be more stress on any electronic. Ohms are a measurement of resistance, so basically the more resistance, the more the current is going to resist flowing to the thing that's being powered. Lower ohms=less stress

Thoughts on the bugera t50 infinium?
@jasonwatt621
@jasonwatt621 7 жыл бұрын
Garbage. I hope you didn't buy it. It has the ugliest distortion I've heard in quite some time. Clean wasn't awful, but I'm rather fond of Bugera's clean channels, personally. That said, just avoid the T50, if you didn't get it already.

lol I was considering the T50 myself, and after some reviews; yikes. It does sound pretty bad. Maybe with some tweaking and a good OD pedal, but a good amp shouldn't need an OD. I used to gig with a Bugera 6262 and at some show, some guy with a Mesa Dual Rec halfstack was drooling over my tone, literally had to comment on it in between songs of our set. My lead guitarist played a 333 XL but I never found a setting for tone that I liked on it (was considering it before I played the 6262). Anyway, yeah this tri-rec sounds like tits. May need to get one. I'm just a bedroom musician these days, but I miss tube powered metal. Playing solid states is depressing me. :P

Im late to the party, but I wanted to know if you like this amp and if it's still going strong for you. I always hear very mixed things like either people love it and have no issues, or they hate it because it died within weeks or even days. Also how do you think this would sound if I ran it through a 2x12 cab with vintage 30s and also a Pod HD PRO X? Thanks!

The Infinium Series has seemed to work out most if not all of the bugs. Also, running into a 2x12 would be nice for a bedroom setting, but a 4x12 would be better for gigging. And personally I despise pod in general. Hope this helps!

just to chime in, a 2x12 is excellent for gigging. It sounds full and is much more portable. Unless you're playing 500+ venues or frequently playing outside, having a half stack is silly; you're going to be mic'd and going through the PA. You only need enough to hear yourself. This is why mini and micro amps are becoming so popular. Hell, I use a 1x10 15w tube hybrid combo as my backup, and sometimes that's all I bring. I put it on an amp stand pointed at my head. It gets mic'd and I can hear myself loud and clear. So can everyone else. (Fender Super Champ X2) While I don't like the amp sounds in the PODs, they are *great* using the 4 cable method with midi switchable amps for single button channel/effects switching. I used the HD500 with an RJM gizmo through a Peavey XXX. You don't need the gizmo with this amp since it has a midi in already. I'm seriously considering picking up this amp since you find it for about $300 nowadays.

+brian burke thanks man! Ya I hate huge cabinets. Too much of a hassle to lug around. I'm still thinking about getting one of these trirecs.

Amen. The midi support is what put it over the top for me. I want one button full patch switching, I'm never going back to tap dancing and I want short setup time. the RJM works, but that's extra setup I don't need to have. I have a small question for anyone more familiar with Bugera's. While they are fairly shameless clones (333XL = Peavey XXX/JSX, 6260 = 5150, and Trirec = Mesa Rec - dunno if dual or triple), what's up with the look of the Trirec? I mean, the 333XL looks like a JSX, the 6260 looks like a 5150, but the Trirec doesn't look like a Mesa Rectifier, it looks more like an ENGL savage. What went on there? :)

Though Bugera isn't the first chinese company to do this. I was looking at a Goldea Rex 6200 for a while (cause the guitar dick in me wants an amp that no one else has), but that's probably never gonna make it to the states in an economically feasable form. That amp actually sounds like an ENGL Savage, but looks like an H&K triamp :)
