I’m not joking when I say I’ve been depressed and emotionally numb recently and just putting up a front for my wife and kids because I don’t want to bother them. Listening to this genre of music while I’m driving over the last couple of days has helped me pull myself out of that, just because it’s catchy, a good beat, upbeat, and I enjoy listening to it. Not saying that this cures depression or anything like that. But it definitely has helped me pull myself out of a slump, so thank you for uploading this mix. I will believe that that's a trueno, and it looks amazing, just adds to the aesthetic

Jazz and Funk are underappreciated. As a Jazz lover, I can say that this stuff slaps.

Absolutely man. The types of artists frequently sampled in this genre were very much produced by the same people working with fusion jazz musicians of the era, some truly amazing players in 70s/80s Japan. Check out the album More Relax by Tomoko Aran!

Morning coffee. Heavy reps for the upcoming holy war. This. A fine combination.

The 80s, 90s, 2000s and the early 2010s were the best times. Vines, non greedy youtube, the hype for apple products, ipad launches, iphone 4s, Samsung tabs, Macintosh, windows XP/7, those fat laptops, Shakira, Disney. Those times were the best. Atleast better than now.

New I liked Vaporwave... But after discovering city pop from hearing a Japanese cover of Doha Cats Say So I had to take a deep dive when I heard people comparing the two. Safe to say I've found the second half of my soul. 🙏
