buggy and shanks past English sub

Poor Buggy He spent all of his life in Shanks' shadow as it seemed that Roger favored him, yet he was content with it because Shanks was like his brother and he believed in him to be his captain's successor. Then to have him apparently lose heart and not try to reach Laughtale, even with Roger placing his faith in him, it must have felt like an act of betrayal. And now, Buggy is finally on equal footing with his brother and so close to the One Piece, but then Shanks finally starts to make a move to claim it? That's got to be a lot to handle.

being complete honest. I still believe that buggy will give us a hell of a surprise in this "race" as he called it in the lasted few chapters released. After all, if he was on roger crew, he is "aware" and "knows" a lot, and by "know" i mean real deep stuff like haki and all other sh*t. if rayleight could teach so much to luffy, wtf did buggy did not "hear" in his years as crew member? Even if he was never taught too deep things, he should have heard a lot of things and "knows" a lot. s like those type of situations, he knows a lot but he never put it to use but this does not mean he should not be ABLE to put it to USE once he really put his mind into it. Plus there's this main point: roger crew seems to be very similar as luffy in a sense, that he had one main crew one MAIN SHIP, instead of having a HUGE crew with multiple ships and things like that, thus for buggy to be on that ship, he should have something, some "potential", probably linked to haki or something just like for exampl: shanks today have such powerful Haki, is impossible that roger crew was not aware of something from shanks and by extension buggy, since he pretty much "raised" them since kids, we have flashback of them being like "kids" really. being a roger crew mate does not equal = being powerful or having potential, but without being powerful or having a huge potential he would never be a mate for long, because he would be eliminated by roger's own adventures and buggy did survive to the end, as this flashback tells the story, to the end he was with shanks following them. is pretty simple what i mean here: is not like roger's crew would have the "time" to babysitter shanks and buggy for example during their adventures, if they could not "handle it", they would be let go long long before they get wounded or died... so buggy does have "potential" be with his "super lucky" that pop up sometimes, that could be saving him since he was a kid during roger's time, or something else.. So yeah, i still believe buggy will give us a big surprise.

@@M-3342-R3 I am sure he will. But, thinking along the lines of Roger's crew mirroring Luffy's (or vice versa), it seems that Buggy is a reflection of Usopp. They both put on a big show for everyone, entice people with their stories and charismatic attitude, and use timing and conniving to their advantage. I have no doubt that Oda is planning a major power up for them in the upcoming chapters, but the only difference will be Usopp achieving his dream to help Luffy with his, while Buggy may trip over himself at the finish line. Fortunately I think the best consolation prize our favorite clown pirate will get is the chance to reconcile with Shanks, and perhaps even stay with him as they see the next generation usher in a New Dawn.

I don't think he wants the one piece. even buggy. buggy just want to reach what Roger had they already know what's that thing is.

but that's the point my friend. no one wants the "one piece" per say, 90% of the cast does not want that do you think that if ANY of them(big guys) wanted the "one piece" " per say, would not be easier for them to simple make a alliance and go there?? why it would matter if one more person knows what is ? Even if is "information" or "simple a powerful treasure", why it would matter that you "shared" with others? Nothing. A treasure at hand (even if is shared) is worth a DOZEN more than a treasure no one can have!! in reality "getting" together to "get" the "one piece" and then having a BIG battle royale to decide it's owner would be a even easier path for all those big guys: big mom, kaidou, shanks, etc. but they never did it: why do you think so? Not one of them want the one piec(per say), at least those cast characters that have a head above their shoulders!! they want/wanted to go further, they are already "aware" that there's something more to all of this: , they want "to do" what roger failed to do and had to "delivery" himself to be killed this is the entire point of most 90% of cast, even people like big mom, shanks,kaidou is the same. there's have been decades since roger died, everyone who grown up knows that the "one piece" is not a simple treasure, at least "everyone" who have a head on top their shoulder (big guys). And they know, that the "One piece" is more like a "ticket": a "entrance ticket" for the real challenge and this is why no one made a "move" for so many years. all of them are "looking" at this "entrance ticket" (one piece) and thinking what gonna be "next!" and since they think they are not ready-cannot handle it, they never moved. BUT now things changed, just like buggy said: shanks started to move, others will start too. Now they are "moving", is time to get the "entrance ticket"( one piece) and only those who go there will be able to participate in what's to come. Buggy is the same, he does not "care" about the one piece per say: he like most of the big cast (now that he got a awakening call and his desire to go too) wants "TO BE" in what going to happen next. So yeah, no one wants the one piece, everyone wants what "roger had" as you "called" but failed to accomplish because he got that strange disease.

@@jjpowell1468 you might be right. It's like how people want to climb Mount Everest, one of the highest peaks in the world, because someone else did it before and survived. Even Luffy doesn't care too much about the One Piece, because that's just a promise he made to Shanks: to find the One Piece and become King of the Pirates. His real dream goes beyond that, so he thinks becoming the next KotP will allow him the freedom to do so.
