Adeola, I am from Swaziland (eSwatini) and this is what I have to say about our name change: 1. Before the British colonized the country, we were known as eSwatini or kaNgwane. Unlike our fellow African brothers, we never reverted back to our true name after gaining our independent in 1968. To us, this is a step in the right direction in being the authors of our own history and it's also an act of sovereignty. 2. You mentioned that he should have instead focused on bettering the lives of the people. Throughout your video, you have shown how African countries (yours included) have a long way to go in improving the lives of its people. However, I feel socio-economic injustices should not prevent us of taking care of other things we hold dear to us. We take one step at a time.
