The way I figure it, most of us are middle age or older dudes. At this stage in our lives, we really don't have a lot of close buds to hang out with. These videos, even if it's the 835th brake job, give us a chance to virtually hang out with my guy, working on cars. Just like hanging out with your best bud, it doesn't really matter what you are doing as long as you are hanging out together. It doesn't hurt that Eric has a pleasantly sarcastic comedic demeanor and he also shares his wonderful family with us as well. And we can't forget.....Luna. **gooood kitteh**

Hi Eric, greetings from England, UK. If you want a handy thin wrench to do those caliper slide pins and other bolts that are restricted for width, buy yourself one of those multi combination spanners / wrenches that are sold for cyclists, they have got me out of a muddle a few times with calipers and they usually cover sizes from 8mm to 15mm or so. All the best mate.

Several times in the past I have been looking for my keys for multiple minutes before I realized they were in my hand the whole time. DOH! When I didn't have 2 pennies to 'rub together'...brakes went out (and a wheel bearing) without his video I wouldn't have been able to fix my vehicle, I'd not have been able to get to work, I'd have been fired. He literally saved me. All through, who would have thunk it, a video of one of his thorough brake jobs. I'm forever grateful every single time I watch a video and IDC if it is his 10,000th brake job because I KNOW that someone is watching who had their butts saved by a video he did of their specific vehicle. Grateful.

Mrs. O always looks so wholesome and nice. Very pretty dress there lady. Eric, that was a "Bread-n-Butter" job where I worked for 25yrs. On all of my brake jobs I'd put slick'm between the pad contact and the stainless steel hardware too. My brake jobs went 100,000 miles sometimes, and never had a slide freeze up. Also when I went to Automotive Tech School we had to take a fastener class where we were indoctrinated that every bolt that gets "torqued" must have lube on it. So, I always slicked up the mounting bolts w/ Synthetic grease. And, I slicked up the lug nuts with it or wheel bearing grease too. The guys that worked with me at the the muffler joint thought dirt, rust and cross-threading was what keeps a bolt tight. I tried to splain them NO the bolt stretches and that "spring tension" was what keeps it tight. I been mechanicing for 57 or 58yrs and never had a lug nut come a loose. ben/ michigan

Just did the same thing 2 or 3 weeks ago on my girlfriends 2014 Chevy Impala. Exact same thing, 2 years older, only i did the hubs and wheel speed sensors as well. You are probably the only reason i even attempted doing the hubs. Pain in the whoo haa. Didnt have the last chance so i used a half inch grade 8 and my dwalt impact. Got rid of the helicopter and the brakes work beautifully now. Did the front hub about a year ago and the half inch grade 8 worked perfectly. The backs a lil different. And the reason i changed the front was a diagnoses i learned from you. Abs light and traction control light... either abs sensor or the magnets gone. Sure enough when i pulled the hub out the magnet was 2/3 gone. Thank you brother. Love watchin your videos and learning.

I've been working for a major forklift company for over 18 years as a test driver. I am supposed to report to my supervisors everything that I like AND dislike about their trucks. The one thing that "gets my goat" the most is when I report something annoying and they just tell me, "Yeah, that's a feature". What The Mother Lover does that even mean?!?! So about squeezing brake hoses. When doing calipers I use this opportunity to change out the old brake fluid and let it run out. Squeezing inner lined hydraulic hoses is a little dicey. I really enjoy all your difficult car repairs. Keep up the great vids.

Explain with any evidence or logical exploration how applying less than 1psi of clamping force to a brake hose is "dicey." This hose holds back over 3500psi you know. I'm interested to know your findings.
