All cars of that day were exactly like the Buick Special, which was, there was nothing special about any of them... I remember them when they were brand spanking, shinny new!

You are clearly too young to have experienced these cars or else your narration would not have nearly as much negativity. The Buick Special was much nicer than you make it out to be. One of the main advantages of driving any of the Buicks, including the Special, was the beautiful smooth ride.
