This is not only my favorite podcast that you've ever done, it may be my favorite podcast of all time. Such a profound discussion that really resonated with me. Tapping into our inner power source. We all have it, it's always been there, we just need to tap into it and not be afraid to share it. Finding our flow and going with it. The anti-"GRIND IT OUT - I WILL OUT WORK YOU" yadayadayada that's been instilled in me. Listen to your inner power source, let it guide you. Loved how the things we love more about superheros is how they share they powers with the world. And we all have them. I will be listening to this one many times over.

Every day I watch talk and hear podcasts, some good, some ok, and suddenly there is this interview. Sticks out of the sea of conversations like a lighthouse. What a man (If I could only live with someone like him). And it's not the money, it's the mindset that toches and connects deeply with me. Thank you for this interview just at the right time.

One of my favorite Ryan interviews of all time! This idea of pursuing business as a spiritual art of creation really resonated with me. Mike has so much wisdom in asking, "What would this look like if it were easy?" and then actually following through to create so much effortless success and live in alignment with his purpose. I'm going to stop paddling upstream and find my river where everything just flows like this! Awesome

this is absolutely the best interview so far- i love the philosophical approach Mike has to business because all business should be a spiritual pursuit to better oneself and humanity and NOT solely doing business for accumulating money, accolades, possessions and power, which are meaningless after you cover all your basic needs. Ryan, please bring more guests like Mike, this interview was so delightful to watch and listen to. We need more people and entrepreneurs to adopt this holistic, ethical approach to business and life. Thank you, Ryan, for creating the space and the platform for true leaders to show us the way of becoming our best version for ourselves and for humanity as a whole.

This is the most profound video on youtube. Everyone who is "successful" has videos selling THEIR way of being successful. I have watched 100's of business/entrepreneur videos and the one thing I have learned from all of them is that you success is your own path. Take what God has given you (your interests, your talents, what your are good at, what virtuous things excite you, where you are right now) and go all-in on that! Don't start a brand if you don't want to, don't start a marketing agency if that's not you, etc... If it is an area that you are interested in growing in, go ahead. Don't grind in something that you don't like the grind. Grind creating something that God has put in you.

I can’t help but observe several inaccuracies coming from Mike. He also downplays the fact that he had a home, had a vehicle, had money, etc - he essentially had the basic means already there before he even built his Photo Booth company and this he reveals on another podcast called the Money Pillow. This is not a situation of a homeless man in poverty with no money trying to create a Photo Booth business. Moreover, he had help from another guy to get his idea off the ground and it didn’t happen fast. Best to take what this guy says with a pinch of salt and keep in mind, that not everyone is in a stable position as Mike Tecku was, though he downplays it. Mike, if you want a genuinely effortless good idea and wisdom, you’ll find it in the Bible. Let’s see if you’ll read or seek and love the actual truth, instead of loving making money.

Mike's brilliant. His motivation statement starting at time 34:42 is to use a business goal as opportunity to personally grow. "You have improved your thinking and ability to take actions to the point that a very challenging business outcome was attained" It's totally different from just wanting money. Fantastic stuff! That is a fork in the road for how to proceed, for ANYONE who wants to achieve a challenging goal. It is MISSING from most (all?) business books. You have fantastic guests! Great show, thank you

Thanks for your vulnerability Ryan. IMO this is the shortfall of capitalism as we know it. Of the things that have existed and created my nature, and even humans before capitalism. Once you realize this capitalism feels small, and you can't unsee the reality of that. It's a narrow sliver of all of the things that can be created.

The absolute ridiculousness of what we all seem to encounter at the 'top of the mountain', which Ryan describes quite well at time 15:04, when he says "Which, by the way, is a 1st-world problem - and once you get there, you realize there's no party at the top of the mountain" Maybe it is because, for the majority of our lives, we have a survival need, a pressure to 'make progress', and then it's not there. It's disorienting, and it's unexpected. But what Ryan said is 100% true. It feels like a combination of "loss of purpose", "confusion", "anxiety", and "deep need to find the next gig" I compare to how a racing driver probably feels, once he's in the lead of the race - he can't improve his possible race outcome any more by overtaking other drivers, because he passed everyone already, so he has to rely on telemetry, he has to rely on his team in the pits telling him his lap times, and then find the need to improve his lap time. It comes down to, you have got to create a reason to get out of bed every day, a purpose. .

I agree with you and I actually don't say that. I've spoken to Ryan about it. I said I'm trying to focus on optimizing my decision making for a 2 hour window but it was edited. I have spent years working and building this new company, many hours a day. The difference is that I focus on things that are in my natural skill set and desire so it doesn't feel like work to me. The 100M comment is just a large scale goal to think bigger and adjust my long term thinking, not that I have done that or am inauthentically telling you how to do that.

Hmm...interesting. I'm curious to know how long you been in the "entrepreneur" space. The Hard work, grit, perseverance mindset is diminishing my friend. It's 2024 not 1980. Why not attempt to "understand" something different vs sticking with what you think you know? (:

There are no shortcuts. It takes so much hard work to reach $1M let alone $10M or $100M. You cannot do it without working long days, 6 days per week.

@@TimShieldsPhotography Hard work is a way to do it. I believe strategy is the most likely source of success. If effort and time were correlated to financial outcomes everyone would be a billionaire. Less than 10% of company's ever do more than $1M a year and even fewer are profitable. This is my 5th company to go past $1M. There were many things I've quit along the way though. I do not push boulders uphill. Logically you must see that if you are already working all day 6 days a week to get to 1M, you must find time leverage somewhere to get to $10M since working harder isn't possible.

This video is basically a WASTE of TIME!! Doesn't really TEACH anything unless you're already in that position. Thanks so much.

This was a life-changing episode and really echoes my own intuition of how I would like to and currently am trying to play my own business game. 💎 Ryan, you really do rock with your philosophical approach to having business conversations - "What are the meaningful intangibles that truly matter when it comes to mixing life and business together?" - RDM probably
