Great podcast!! I’m surprised there wasn’t an NDA that prevented stealing the idea? Wouldn’t this be the equivalent of hiring a Amazon agency to run your ads and then the agency seeing your margins and data and then building their own competitor off the back of your biz? I’m truly curious bc I came from JP Morgan Partners and a bunch of my friends are still in PE and IB and wondered if they have done the same 🧐 Listening more and it seems they did get sued for IP.. just to get that trademark would have to jump thru hoops.. (I remember skinny pasta.. and when I saw the pic say “It’s Skinny Pasta” spider sense went off… 😅 Think it’s great that he wants to grow this biz and make an impact but to say if another owner doesn’t want to do that then it justifies taking it over … ummmm that’s kind of non sense; and exactly what a stereo typed IB would say.. (there was a reason why I left after my 2 year program to become an entrepreneur).. To be fair I’m sure there’s way more context and he briefly mentioned ethical judgement and litigation.. but at surface level it seems shady AF and wished you pushed a bit more on that quick response… Imagine bringing on IB to help you grow and instead they take it directly compete with you under the premise “if you aren’t going to grow this then it’s justified for us to steal your name and idea”.. Makes me super cautious to ever work with external agencies, partners, masterminds, etc and completely runs in the opposite direction of community and collaboration. Would be cool for you to bring on the perseon that owned Skinny Pasta to get his point of view as well. -- Like I said, this is a great podcast and lots of takeaways for the viewer and I’m sure there’s more context.. just wished that was spoken on a bit more.

Great episode. I knew about pricing strategy & negative cash conversion cycle but will be emphasizing it more now. Question: Bryan was able to utilize his past relationships to get better payment terms with his co-packer. As a newer business (1-2 years old), what are the best ways to negotiate better terms with co-packers and unique ways to creative negative cash conversion cycles outside of terms with a co-packer?

Getting frequent quotes with multiple copackers, forecasting quarterly/yearly business and guaranteeing a certain amount of business for the copacker makes the business a safer investment for negotiating terms. Thanks for watching, appreciate you taking the time.
