Build a 3 Rail O Scale Roller Stand quick and cheap

I needed a roller stand to start weathering some steam engines. Testing engines with the rollers was always a pain without some sort of permanent base, especially for those engines where the tender has a tether and needs to be attached.
This base only took a couple hours and used scrap stuff laying around the garage. You only need 4 rollers, even for the biggest of engines.

I've been contemplating building something like this for my father's G-scale engines when I stumbled on your video. What size bearings are you using, and what screws are holding them in place? I'm curious if the wheel flange on a large G-scale locomotive would scrape the screw heads while running. any thoughts? Thanks for sharing.

Hi Doug: Thanks for this video. Is the MDF 3/4"? If so, then the spacers are 3/4" too? What gauge / type wire should I use / solder? Thanks! Chris

Yes 3/4". I used 14 or 16 ga wire, I dont remember. It really dont matter for such a short piece of track. If it can hold 3 amps.... you're good to go
