Hi, Sebastian, new sub here. I’m building a watch very similar to this one, I have a slightly different case and different hands, but I might change the ones I’m using, I very much like the style, although the hour hand is too long, it goes past the inside hour ring and I don’t like this, but I love the style as they’re like an aeroplane gauge needle. I’m not game to mount the hands myself, I have giant hands and have worked on cars for years and I think I could easily damage them, especially the sub dial hand! I take mine to a jeweller to have them done haha. Looking forward to see what else you build!

@@tickingWATCH yeah, I’d like to use one of those also. I normally go for the Seagull or Miyota mainly because of price, but i think when I build a watch exactly as I like I will put an NH movement in.

@@tickingWATCH oh I meant to say I actually have that same case as you, I’m going to build a dress watch, and was thinking I may have it all polished. I have a white dial and a set of blue filigree style hands and it will look very nice, but as I don’t really wear a dress watch often I’m not going to order a movement until I build all the others I’m building.

Kolejny świetny film. W jaki sposób je nagrywasz podczas pracy? Zakładam, że nie masz trzeciej ręki ; ) Zaczynam realizować swoje marzenia i planuję zakup jakiegoś zestawu startowego dla amatorów. Mam kilka radzieckich zegarków, które nadają się do wyczyszczenie. Najbardziej boję się, że jak zacznę rozkręcać to nie będę umiał złożyć. Miliony części... Opisywać wszystko? Robić zdjęcia? Może masz jakiś patent na to dla początkujących? Pozdrawiam!

Dzięki, fajnie, że się podoba, dzięki 👍. Żadnych czarów tu nie ma. Najprościej to w miarę solidny tripod i telefon, używałem też statywu. Najlepiej jednak to sobie zrobić małą konstrukcję nad stołem do której przyczepisz kamerę lub telefon. 👍

Amazing work! The only part I don't like is the coin-edge on the case bezel, it's weird for a Flieger. Okay, I'd also prefer pure white with a few red accents over that eggshell-yellow on the dial, but that's very minor. Btw. as someone doing quite extensive modding, do you know of any preferably very cheap luminious hands compatible with a Tongji/Chinese Standard movement? Or a handset for another movement which can be modified (needle/pliers?) to fit it? I have one watch with an issue with the lume on the hour hand and another one with a minutes hand which is a bit too short and I'd love to fix that.

I grabbed last Aliexpress sale one of them Seagull versions of the Venus 175 as I had some vouchers saved up, this is the beautiful mechanical chronograph movement but wondering where to find case, dial etc for it and hoping it will fit into a Strela case which means I can have a Sekonda Strela at a fraction of the cost of one with the Venus 150 in.

Ooo I likes that strap, I am looking for a new strap for my TW Steel chrono as the one it had originally is poorly and the Aliexpress so called "proper" strap I got the suede has rubbed off quite badly. BTW if you ever need parts for Soviet pieces, I have stacks of Soviet spares including a lot of quartz parts.

Dobre pytanie. Więcej jak 3atm bym nie oczkiwał. Można by założyć, że uszczelki jakie tam są na tyle wystarczą. Jednak żeby być pewnym na 100% trzeba by testować 👍

Hey! I'm just catchin on to your channel you do exactly the type of watch building I love to see. My milling machine needs parts and maintnence right now so some down time. I'm building tool sharpening/ grinding stuff and looking at home built EDM wire, drilling, and sinker. I want to build a titanium chronometer kinda thing you'd wear on the moon thing. Band and case just made for and eta 7750. I have my old Bulova marine star with a miyota quartz I'm starting to think about that GMT homage movement you did a service on it fits a 31 mm I think you still have that how dose it run? Put it on the tick tock tach If it aint right do the lube chart over and show us with the what? is it the purple lid seiko friction grease how good can you get one of those with just following the lube chart? sorry for rambling a bit keep it up your good Thanks!

Hi, good luck with your milling machine I also planning to buy a one. This GMT watch, I still have it and it still works. About lubricants just go to ETA internet page, download a manual of its mechanical movement and there you will find all date about lubricants and where you should lubricate so this topic is covered there very well. 👍
