I have the same engine you should check to see if it has a gear oil in the propeller and you should always have water in a bucket to turn on the engine

@@thomascorrigan3252 actually I have that engine its water cooled so therefore when you turn it on you have to have water in a bucket and the engine in it so the engine cool cool down

Very nice to see to what your channel came in the last few years. I think it would be smart to remove the bottom layer of foam from your boat as it only sits in the water about 5cm deep. Itwouldgive the boat more stability as the center of gravity is power and it'll be lighter.

I have one of these motors. This is actually a water cooled engine and it should never be started out of the water. You also need to fill the lower with gear oil, as it is shipped completely dry. Luckily, they ship a spare water impeller with the engine for people who can't be bothered to read the instructions... that won't fix your gears, bushings and seals when you burn them up on your first outing.

I think you should check the water pump. There is no water coming out of the "telltale" hole. You may have damaged the pump running the engine without a bucket of water to at least cover the prop. Others with this motor have reported problems with the gasket and fittings of the "Telltale" being clogged or not drilled through. Cheers Eric
