Love the way you applied the veneer on raised bits of timber first!!

Nice vid. You always have a well executed plan. Looks great. And btw, I admire how you use the basic type tools to accomplish the project. Nothing wrong with high end tools but it helps the average guy confirm that you don’t necessarily need anything other than the basics to make a fine looking project.

Mr. Peters you are a genius craftsman. I think that you can be considered one of the best in your field, hands down. Watching you, is like listening to Mozart. Your creations are transcend woodworking genre, they are art pieces much like Da Vinci's or Michelagelo's. Thank you for sharing!! Bravo!!!

You are so good, can't believe how everything lined up flush off the saw. I would have needed to cut it a bit oversized on purpose, then flush trimmed it with a router.

Wow, the desk looks awesome. It will last for decades and its absolutely timeless. Very different from the crappy furniture/desks that you by nowadays in big stores.

Thanks Joe! There really isn’t much to it… A few tricks here and there and I’m thinking of making a Veneer basics video soon. One thing I just found out is it’s not a great idea to use waterborne finishes when working with veneer and contact cement… That’s some thing I’m planning to get into in an upcoming video.

Great video. Thank you. Just curious, seems like you usually apply bondo to the plywood edges before applying veneer. Why not on this project?
