Sponsor me with super thank you so I can make better videos 🥰 這把弓我使用孟宗竹與重蟻木積層製作，弓梢加上硬楓木及牛角片增加強度，製作流程在影片內都還蠻詳細的，各位就在去影片內觀看吧。 這是我製作的第三把反曲弓，前二把都爆炸了以失敗收場，為了不在失敗我把弓加長了，先製作出一把，之後再慢慢吸取經驗縮短長度，越短的弓製作難度是加倍跳啊。現代反曲通常都加上環氧塑脂片及玻纖片，彈性是超級好，可以將弓做得又薄又短。純天然材料也只有筋角複合弓可以超越。

筋角弓真的強。現代材料也追不上。看最大拉距就知道。秘密除了蛋白質的特性外，分三層各司其職也有關。木弓胎維持造型避免弓背弓腹有相對滑動。弓腹是推，耐壓縮的材質。弓背是拉，抗拉伸的材質。分三層，所以每層都不用太厚，就不容易斷。所以你要再減少長度的話，也許可以從各種竹木材料中，找出這三類型的材料。加上魚膘膠黏合，成就完美。

你应该去湖北找找这种材料，桑柘木，学名是Maclura tricuspidata Carrière，据说特别贵，与金等价，但现代应该没这么贵了，还得在合适的时令砍伐，还得配上角、筋、胶、丝、漆等辅料

I can tell by the fine woodworking skills that you are an excellent carpenter. I have enjoyed your videos of your new hobby of making archery equipment. I have been making bows and arrows for 20 years now and I can appreciate the many small details in your work. The choice of bamboo and ipe, or ant wood, is excellent. Bamboo is as remarkable at resisting tension as ipe is at resisting compression, so marrying them together in this bow is a good match! I see in other comments that some people have suggested the blades, or ears, on the limbs can be made lighter. I agree with them, with good maple, they can be as narrow as 6-7 millimeters on the front and as little as 2 millimeters on the back, especially if they are reinforced with horn like you have done on this bow. Like other comments here, I like the simple and natural look of the rattan wrapping. I will watch that section of this video many times to learn more about how you do this. Perhaps I will use this technique some day soon and I can give you credit as my teacher. I would like to invite you to find the message board of Primitive Archer Magazine where you can join and share your work with many thousands of other bow making friends. I know many people there that would welcome you and have many questions. And thank you, again, for sharing your journey as you gain skill and knowledge as a bowyer.

Hasil yg cantik..sgt kemas dn penuh seni..tp kelajuan ank panahnya macam kurang..mungkin dsebabkn saiz busur yg agk panjang dn tarikan tali yg tidak mncukupi myebabknnya kurang laju..samaada dpendekkn sedikit saiz busurnya,atau kita kne lebih menarik talinya lebih kuat utk mndapatkan kelajuan serta ketepatan sasaran ank panahnya.. Very nice job! The only thing I could probably think of changing to the bow would be to reduce the actual mass at the tips where the string goes. They can be thick so they don't bend but thinner in width to reduce weight/increase speed. Great build!

This upgrade to lighter tips will be very good. Fortunately I didn’t miss your note why the bow is such long and it´s very good choice then. I don’t see it as a bad thing that a bow is that long but if a material is able to bend more then you should definitely use it to your advantage ! Dont stop your draw just because some method of prefered anchor point, your anchor point can be far behind the ear where you will feel that your shoulders and everything is somehow naturaly “locked” maybe like Ming archers where is draw length even up to 36inches. Arrow will travel longer distance by the string so that will be more energy to the arrow making it more powerful shot. But only if the material of the bow will allow longer draw ! I dont know your bow. I hope it makes sense, it´s very beautiful bow and you have great skills, your archery is also very good ! Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us.

I do hope that it is not lost in translation. What I am about to write is a compliment of the highest degree here where I live in the Western United States. Between 6:54 and 7:07 of the tutorial I was dropping "F-Bombs"! I was unclear and not understanding the precision and meditation in using the thick rubber bands to bind the bamboo together up to that point. Wow!! Excellent work!

Natural materials have holes, so I think glue would be better, and if it's fiberglass, epoxy would be better.

It looks like you have made a beautiful bow, and most importantly, it appears to be a "great shooter" and that is really what a bow is all about. Your bow appears to really accelerate out your arrows. It is certainly NOT important, but sometime you might like to do a Chronograph test of your arrows, and see just how fast they are. I bet they are very fast, from looking at you shooting this. Wonderful video, and it brings out many good teaching. points in making your bow. Well done. Doctor G.W.
