Really beautiful, I love all the B-roll where you show Amber digging up roots (for cordage, obviously she knows you'll need it).. Definitely I'd "try" build this if I had somewhere to do so. ❤️

You do an excellent job in building your cabins,huts,mud houses. I don't build forts but I do like to make snow forts for my grandkids and gather them up some snowballs . I build two . One for the girls and one for the boys. They love it and really enjoy having a snow fort. Your dog amber is really growing. I enjoy your videos . Thanks for sharing. The best forts are the ones built from nature.

It is called 'Division of Labor:' Amber takes a rest while YOU do the rest.😊 YES, I would build this structure. It is a classic A-Frame style with sufficient and varied roofing materials. The bunk and well-ventilated stove assure a modicum of comfort in any season.
@andykjohnsonjohnson76222 жыл бұрын
Yes I would. I have built a couple of lean2 & frame shelters, where I go fishing alot. Then when I go back there ( 10 to 15 days later) they have been miss used, or torn apart & used to make a fire. I REALLY HATE 🤬 mindless people . Was great to see Amber 🐕 , giving you a hand on gathering the cordage 👍

Amber helping you did the root out was awesome. I like the build, but I had a question. All the moss I see you and other Bush crafters use to cover your shelters. Why not go one step further and cover the raised bed you all make? So at least it would add a layer of padding, or cushion for you all to sleep on. Just my observation. Love the channel and the content. 🤙😁
@townieoutdoors81212 жыл бұрын
Yes ! But mine will be a little more simple of a design ,just logs leaned against the ridge pole .no horizontal walls inside and a tarp.the back wall will be virtical like your front one as well. This will allow for easy log replacement if one rots out . I have lean to built on my channel but it's just to open for winter overnights .I could convert it to a super shelter but I like your design better . Great shelter ,great channel

@jamesellsworth96732 жыл бұрын
YES, THIS IS ON MY REPLAY LIST. This time, I delved into HOW I would build this: I would add base logs up until they met the supports you had in place. I would raise the bed to an 'ergonomic' height: level with my bent knees. That would give more storage space under the bunk for firewood or equipment I needed to store.
@lizdg38922 жыл бұрын
Always love your builds and thank goodness for Amber’s help on root harvest detail. Do you have a basic design in mind when you start your builds? Or does the site dictate the design? More organic approach.
