It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book kzbin.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 . I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.

I wonder if the supporting studs with direct contact with the grass, concrete or dirt are treated wood or not. The preservatives of the pressure treated woods help protect the woods from termites, other insects, and fungal decay's attack.

jon love your videos. your dealer or lumber yard should have warned you about installing ipe. all 6 side of the plank should be sealed. all end joints should be waxed. winters are hard on iron wood.try mohogany flame sealer cabot. just my two cents. keep up the good work.
@christschool8 жыл бұрын
Sealing isn't required in Ipe because its naturally an oily wood. However, waxing the ends to prevent checking and using only stainless steel screws is a good practice.

I can't believe how soft your soil is, in Sydney in summer (when all the decking jobs happen) the soil is so hard I carry a second shovel because I've snapped the blade or the handle more times than I care to remember going into the sun baked clay we have here. +Necy Hall Rated as very durable; excellent insect resistance, though some species are susceptible to marine borers. Superb weathering characteristics. (Ipe was used for the boardwalk along the beach of New York City’s Coney Island, and was said to have lasted 25 years before it needed to be replaced: an amazing lifespan given the amount of traffic and environmental stresses put upon the wood.)
