Playlist videos as they relate to this video: 0:38 - 1:53 : Prep and Planning 1:53 - 3:05 : The Base Casting 3:05 - 4:16 : The Tale of a Difficult Hole. 4:16 - 5:38 : Spot Facing! 5:38 - 7:35 : Main Bearings! 7:35 - 11:27 : Making a Crankshaft! 11:27 - 13:52 : Machining a cylinder casting! (Note: released after next episode) 13:52 - 14:39 : Cylinder Heads and Gland Nuts and Steam Chests, Oh My! (Note: released before previous episode) 14:39 - 15:59 : Machining a Piston! 15:59 - 17:10 : Valve And How It Works 17:10 - 19:12 : How to make an eccentric! 19:12 - 19:42 : Valve Gear! 19:42 - 20:54 : The Crosshead! 20:54 - 21:33 : Flywheel! 21:33 - 22:40 : First Test Run! 22:40 - 23:16 : Oiling System! 23:16 - 23:23 : Model Steam Engine Valve Timing 23:23 - 26:07 : Finishing Touches Note, many of the scary moments are removed for this video. If you watch the full build, prepare for the suspense of, "Did Quinn need to buy two kits to be able to make this series, or does she end up barely escaping accidents that could ruin a casting for good?" Thankfully, everything is out now, so even if the next episode was delayed by waiting for a replacement casting to be shipped, you can just binge it all.

Lovely work. I do appreciate the honesty in your videos. Everyone makes mistakes occasionally, but not everyone has the humility to show them in a video so others can learn from them. If I ever build a steam engine kit I'm going to be a realist and buy 2 sets of the castings, one set to "learn-from" (and then bury at midnight,) and one set to machine without those mistakes.

Very good job and well presented - thanks for sharing. Some old man told me once to keep in mind that although the build timeline is similar to having a child, when you are done with said project you are done... end of story... vs. spending the rest of your life supporting or helping an offspring for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE...

Considering what Yahtzee is, it makes perfect sense to me. I'm sure that any of us that played all have a memory of getting 3 Yahtzee's in a row and whooping our opponent (usually a family member), being all smug about kickin their ass. We also probably have a similar memory where the same family member got 3 in a row and rubbed it in a bit to much also.....
