Build a Tea Light Candle Holder

I got a great deal on a used drill press so I tried it out on an easy project made from scrap walnut and some curly maple. This time the project is for candles and won't be turned into another shot glass holder. At least for now.

That's nice. Must be a new phenomenon. Hearing aid only picks up in tcoil and it must be loud on your end. Not sure why you're now having this issue as it's been the same forever.

That's a good way to secure the wood to the drill press. That's how I'm going to do it. Except I don't know about holding the last part with my hand. To afraid it'll somehow come out and yank my hand.

Hi. I'd love to have a go at this. I have a 40mm Forstner bit which seems the right size for my tealights. What was the width and thickness of your wood - I'm thinking 45mm may be too small but 70mm may be a bit big? And what were the three heights for your pieces - the first looks as though it made a cube so presumably the same size as the width/thickness of the wood?

How did you drill into the endgrain of some hardwood (I presume) that easily? I tried the same with oak and pretty sure I damaged my forstner bit :(

Take it slow and don't try to bore out the hole in one plunge. Take breaks to let the bit cool off a bit. Sorry that happened man.
