Thanks to those tech videos, this guy decided to get one seeing how he can make use of it. I think both styles of videos have there place and it wouldn't be a fair comparison. Regardless, this track really great and much better than other tracks I've heard that demo this synth!

@@JP-ci3pp This is indeed a great video, but there's no need to slag other reviewers off. Their videos are better than nothing and you can always opt to not watch. Not too long ago there were no gear videos at all :)

That's beautiful, Robert! Shows how much can be done with one little monosynth, a few VST effects, and some time and TALENT. The Pro-1 definitely has character and a nice range of capabilities, and this was a great way to show them off.

A classic sounding bit of synthery. Sounds like a piece straight out of the 1980s, scored for the end credits of an action film. Nicely done.

The pro1 is the sheeeeit! It is so versatile and really has no limits to it’s use. It sounds incredible and is probably my favourite synth

For all the synths Behringer is releasing the pro 1 seems to has the less "squeaky" VCF and in this song you can hear that in the many sounds it produces

Great track! Beautifully composed and gorgeous sound design! On top of that a truly generous invitation to follow along. I got a pro-1 a long time ago and really enjoyed playing around with it a few times but I have yet to make something with it. Your video is very inspiring and now I can't wait to team up with that little beast and see what we can do.

Did anyone else notice it was in 3/4 time, with 4X16th note pulses per beat to drive it along in parts? Great composition and execution Robert. ❤ Also, thanks for walking us through the creation of the patches - what a rich sounding instrument, and those effects... mmmmmmm!

I thinking i need to pick one of these up. I repaired an original Pro-1 back in the 90's for someone, sounded amazing and arp was fun too. Its been in the back of my mind since then this comes along.

Just about to buy this synth. I love what it can do. I was listening all over KZbin for some good examples of how musical this synth can get, and mostly found discordant noise. Stumbling across your video really perked my interest because your musicality really shines through in the track you made. Excellent video demo of what this synth can do!!

monosynths are powerful now that we have so many great multitrack DAW options out there... it doesn't hurt to be a great composer like Robert either. :)

this is really great... absolutely authentic vintage sounds... I've got a Moog Grandmother and am researching all the Behringer synths as potential semi-modular companion pieces to the Moog.... Tough call. The Neutron seems to have the most CV patch points but this Pro 1 has exactly the sound I love... hmm.

11:00 its two saw but the lower one detuned right? I almost could make the sound with my minilogue.

Yes indeed, nothing exotic but the ‘raw’ sound differs from the Minilogue (I’ve the mk1 mini). Maybe the Korg has a a slightly more modern stable sound.

They all drift, and need some warming up. Sometimes sooner then later... I don't really mind during the composition phase. I do check the tuning before recording ;-)

If you have a daw with vsts then the pro 1 is a better option. But the novation is a capable little synth. Peak is a monster synth;-)

Thanks, and yes they’re both great sounding synths (well at least in my opinion). Pro 1 is a ‘easy’ simple one and the Arp a bit more flexible.
