Any chance you can do a video building your desert lizards? I have a set coming and by far I’d value your expertise over what I’ve seen on KZbin
@johndean8346 Жыл бұрын
Hey Logan, nice build. Similar to what nI plan to do to my new-to-me SCX10 ii. Question...is that the stock axial frame rails in this build? the RP servo mount fit without issues?
@branonjohnson86182 жыл бұрын
wondering if you tried the rprc front shock towers and why you chose to keep front shocks vertical. did you try the angle and didnt like it? im building a 10ii with rprc stuff.
@jasonjr3136 Жыл бұрын
What setup are you running for the front shocks. I have lizards as well but your axel droops when you picked it up off the bench at the beginning of the video, mine doesn’t hardly at all, I have to physically pull my axel away from the truck and it immediately goes right back up when I let go. It stays hugged to the frame, “in lcg stance”

I will do a search but do you have a video of you attaching the power wagon body? I just got a raw body . I need to paint and attach it as long as with a bed.

Yeah it worked out with the overdrive in the portals on my gatekeeper I didn’t need the added transmission overdrive

Nice rig sir. Thanks for the parts list and info on this build. Looking to do a budget LCG type rig but don’t want to drop serious coin just in case I don’t like it. Building the first one is a little nerve racking 😬. But sooner is better then later

I just bought me a Axial SCX10 clone it looks really good as my first 1/10 crawler ever I've had I have a 124th actual crawler but of my ESC that I have with it I got from another car burnt out so I have to spend $70 on a ESC and a receiver and transmitter cuz you know the one I have is a cheap ones so I kept should have expected it but I can't wait to get it fixed and see how good it does
@ridgerc59762 жыл бұрын
I have went back and probably watched this video a dozen times for reference. My Power Wagon is my favorite but i have just picked up an Ecto and ordered all the Rock Pirate accessories for it so we'll see if the Axial stays on top.

I took a note from exocage rc. I use a limiting Bunji on the front of my gatekeeper in sted of the pen spring mod thing . It works awesome . All the articulation at a level you can adjust by bunji
@westdesertwheeler3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I’ve messed with bunji a bit. I started having belly clearance issues. So I ran this setup instead

I bought a Vanquish Phoenix (portal) kit with the intention of turning it into a comp rig.. but then I think maybe a Capra would be better. Then I see yours and wonder some more. I think I need to learn to drive first, then figure out the rest.

I'd like to see how the proline trencher tires work on your setups and in your terrain, I got a set a few months back and find there noticably more planted and predictable, at least on the Canadian west coast rocks compared to my set of PL flat irons.
@westdesertwheeler3 жыл бұрын
I just don’t like the look of them. It’s kinda dumb but the look of a tire is important to me
