Hydraulic clutch is waaay easier to pull compared to a cabled clutch. Also if you get a 16-18 mm master cylinder for a 6 piston or even a 4 piston front brake its a very VERY nice brake.

That Honda shutting off with the crack of the throttle is something I learned is just a Honda thing . You need to leave the choke in for a minute, let it warm up and you're good. Even the manual admits to having to leave the choke on for a minute until it reaches optimal running temps. Accelerator pump in the carb was my second thought but to fancy ahh got a FI '13

I have a 2012 crf250r, which is fuel injected like your 450. I'm not sure if your r1 has a carburetor,, but the nob on the engine is for high idle. If you leave that on right when you start it until the radiators get considerably warm (and don't rev it while it's warming up) your throttle response problems will disappear. Hope this helps you! Good luck and the bike looks frickin amazing.

Yay! That is soooo exciting! I always love it when something works when you put it back together after taking it apart.

not trying to tell you what to do or anything but you should try sitting about 4 inches closer to your bars on the seat (:

Complete noobish question, but what's that switch you flick after starting it up? Seems to drop the revs pretty nicely, almost as if it were a choke, but it's not carbed..

Nice bike! You should've stuck with spoked wheels. Any reason why you didn't? They really help with handling rough terrain / jumps... I think that's why all offroad bikes (the serious ones, at least) have spoked wheels. I'd be curious as to how much rougher the landings are with your wheels vs. spoked wheels...

He's already said that he's not going to take it off of any sweet ramps! The wheels he put on there look way better than spoke wheels.

Great build, great channel and sweet bike! I'd love a supermoto like this. Not sure why you get so many negative comments, it's a really nice bike and built how you want it. keep doing what your doing!
