See now I have this thought of find a way to attach the Herja to the blade tech molle/belt adapters so you could attach these to shoulder armor or drop leg molle pads. Would just need one master switch and could come out looking like the Heavy Arms Custom Gundam!

Will this work with the sliding arm mount in a way that can be operated one handed? I'm thinking last resort slide forward and fire when your primary runs out of ammo and still holding the primary with your dominant hand.

I absolutely love this, and can't wait to put one on my Lynx! It does make me worry about one thing, though. Does this mean that Mt. Olympus has been cancelled?

It's not cancelled! We just haven't been able to get the boards made with the current shortages. It's on the back burner until then.

I have been looking for a platform to make a shoulder mounted blaster. This looks to fit most of what I need

The problem, as with any automatic weapon, is ammo feeding. This blaster depends entirely on the magazine keeping the darts coming, with no room for a chain drive or other feeding system, and if it's up on your shoulder, there's not much room for a mag. You might want to consider modifying a Jupiter and Proton Pack

Nobody seems to use 18650s to power blasters. Is there some reason why?

The average 18650 battery capacity can be about 2200mAh, so the energy density is about 500Wh/L, and the energy density of the lithium polymer battery can be close to 600Wh/L. Polymer batteries can be customized according to customer needs, and the shape is varied and varied and can be customized. LiPos have less limits. A late answer 😂 🤷🏻‍♂️ But 18650s are the best in saber builds 😉.

@@audiobrainiac Thanks! Since posting, I've been using high-drain 18650s for various blasters but they're still capped at about 26A draw. They work well for entry-level motor upgrades but can't compete with things like graphene LiPos. I did manage to fit a 2S2P pack in a battery stock, but I feel like I'm reinventing the wheel at some point. All of that said, I think a lot of the anti-IMR sentiment in the hobby comes from experience with low-drain 14500s. Looking at the new DZ Omnia, it appears to be powered by a 2S 18650, so at least DZ is ok with IMRs.
