if you plan on printing some mechanical/prototype elements instead of miniatures etc. I would recommend rising layer height to some normal value like 0.1 or 0.2mm. It speeds up printing a lot and you still get a lot of details. Just remember to extend exposure time. AFAIR there was a rule to extend time by 1/3 when you double the layer height. This type of printers is slowest on z axis and you spare a lot of time if you reduce z height of the print. Good upgrade is a magnetic print plate as you can the print just flat on reducing print z height a lot. I'm just not sure how printing flat on such a big vat will wear of FEP film. For a photos s i use for few years already this works like a charm.

You can mod a FDM printer (the kind that normally spit out a thread of molten plastic) so that the motor that normally extrudes plastic instead slowly presses on the plunger of a large syringe that feeds into a flexible tube/hose that leads to a nozzle on the print head. This allows you to print in "liquids" that harden in ambient air, like clays, chocolate or wax (with a little heating to keep it molten until it's extruded), epoxies (If you use 2 syringes), ceramics and lots more.

Can yoou please do something withh radiation? Im fasenated of it I cant do thses thinggs at home because of the incident And can yyoh please show how to clean up a nuclear mess Because half of my room is unusable after the incident
@brainiac753 жыл бұрын
I have several videos on radioactivity ( kzbin.info/aero/PLC62CCBDABFFEBB37 ). The only way to 'clean up' a radioactive spill is to remove all stained stuff from the room and move it to a safe place and wait for the half life of the isotopes to take care of the radioactive atoms... Thanks for watching!

It must be very expensive
@JustinKoenigSilica3 жыл бұрын
about $500 there's cheaper models starting at like $200 or so
@brainiac753 жыл бұрын
This resin printer technology used to be very expensive but as with all technology it is getting more and more affordable. But the amount of metal needed to be sturdy with 0.01 mm precision at a plate height of up to 24.5 cm will still cost. Smaller models starts at $99 if I remember correctly. Thanks for the early watch!
