Can you make a tutorial on mailboxes? I am just starting out and love doing Christmas scenes and I would love some help with mailboxes. All the different kinds! The ones on a post, the square ones on houses, and the rounded post office ones on the street! Thank you for making these videos! Best I’ve found on KZbin for miniatures! Hope your move went well!

Many years ago I was at the post office and they were selling a little blue mailbox like they used to have a couple of blocks from my home. I bought one because it looked about the right size for maybe a Barbie or smaller. I don't have access to it right now to measure, and I know that doesn't answer your question

Wow. I was expecting the laser to be a lot more expensive than it was. That's dangerous (too accessible! Ah, my wallet!!) Still, part of why I love (and often recommend your channel) was your creativity in the face of not having all the fancy tools. While I'm happy you can afford fancier things, I still miss the days when you'd do things by hand with cheaper materials. Will you still do a few of those videos in the future as well? I'll still watch regardless, just a bit nostalgic for those videos

[Question to the experts] i plan on building some spaceship models in Blender, then 3d print them. My question is, would i be able to laser the intricate design from an image, onto the ship?. Also, i only want to engrave the surface prior to spraying. cheers

Hi, do you have the website or non video written tutorials with all the measures and supplies used? Its so hard to nonstop watch the video and then find right supplies because i wanna buy things from my local store. Thanks.
@fransantelli Жыл бұрын
wow... i was about to buy a laser cutter that is wayyy more expensive than this one, but this one seems like it would be perfect. it's a little tricky going by reviews since so few of the people there seem to be using their laser cutters for making miniatures. and everybody is talking about engraving and hardly anyone talks about the cutting! how has your laser cutter held up?
@TheSquaretoSpare Жыл бұрын
Glad I could help! This one still works great. I did start to use another laser with more protection around the beam just to be in the safe side but this is still a great option

Nice. How do you get rid of the "burnt" stink, though? We have a maker space near where I live and I could use a laser cutter there but so far I didn't like how the wooden pieces always stink like severely burnt wood. And it doesn't seem to vanish even after several days. They showed us pieces that had been previously made (like a while ago) and they still stank. It's such a cool technique but I really don't like the stink.

Is this Laser expensive?
@kttnlvr2bynxylee6223 жыл бұрын
Good question, I was wondering the same thing.
@aerial_silks_hoop3 жыл бұрын
It's $318.99. I spent more than that on my Cricut Maker. I wish I had purchased this laser engraver instead. The Cricut mats don't stay sticky long enough and replacing them is adding up. I didn't know it was so easy to use an engraver.
@kttnlvr2bynxylee6223 жыл бұрын
Wow that's not bad at all, I was thinking 5 to 6 hundred dollars! Thank You!!
@deniserenesanchez3 жыл бұрын
That’s a good price
@aerial_silks_hoop3 жыл бұрын
That is a good price but there's another laser engraver from the same company for $100 less. Wonder if that one is worth buying. I can't immediately tell the difference. The minimum cutting depth I'd want would probably be 3mm like the one shown in the video.

How thick of a material can this machine cut (e.g. can it handle 3mm)? I didn't realize these laser engravers could cut thin wood materials.
@neenachurchill80383 жыл бұрын
At 1:51 she says it can cut through 3mm thick wood.
@pauln26613 жыл бұрын
This is a lightweight 20 watt laser. The far, far, far more expensive 100w (and higher) cut 1/8 inch (3mm) easily for higher speeds and half inch (13mm) too. 100w lasers engrave metal, marble, and tile too.
