Build review of AMT/ERTLS USS Enterprise D 1/1400 scale: Part 3 - Arduino and Accurizing.

Build review of my next project, the glorious Enterprise D! This time looking at the completed Arduino prototype for phaser firing, Torpedo firing and flashing lights and sound effects.
Also covering more aftermarket products for the build to accurize the stock kit along with progress to date work of the model kit pieces.
Sorry for the waffling in this video, I'll try to do better next time :-)
Aside from the usual kit building element I'll be introducing for the first time the use of Arduino to have this kit all singing and dancing and I'm learning Arduino for the first time.

Round2 has just announced they are re releasing the kit in translucent plastic like the 1/1000 voyager.

Glad to hear it, it’s about time that they decided to re-lease it. Hopefully in the same scale and accurate. Thanks for heads up, I’ll have to keep an eye out for that. It’s always good to have a back up.

I did the same thing with the dorsal hull sides, got as far as sanding it all back, re-establishing the windows pretty accurately, and started assembly before shelving the project. It still sits unfinished...not enough hours in a day any more!

I hear that! 😂 the windows on this kit have been gruelling, and still have more to do including the dorsal ones on the re-cast clear parts. Every part of this kit is just taking hours upon hours of work. Still, that’s the price we pay for a labour of love…….or a bout of insanity, haven’t quite figured out which it is yet 😂

I would need to do a bit more to it, mainly window placements and docking hatch/torpedo launcher grills etc, but would consider it if enough people showed interest.
