Build review of my next project, the glorious Enterprise D!
Covering current work in progress for the build to accurize the kit.
Sorry for the waffling in this video, I'll try to do better next time :-)
Aside from the usual kit building element I'll be introducing for the first time the use of Arduino to have this kit all singing and dancing and I'm learning Arduino for the first time.

Thank you 🙏🏻 I’ve been working on more coding for more effects, ran into a snag with trying to have two neopixel strips running for phaser effect. Ah, the good old 1/537 refit. That was my first ever starship kit I built as a kid waaaay back when 😅 Good luck with your build, hope it turns out great 👍

Those windows are looking crisp and clean. Well done! You're doing work that you can be proud of, here. Using the tape to fill in for the raised panels was a creative idea. I'm looking forward to seeing how the cast turns out. Good luck!

Thank you 🙏🏻 I know it’s not the quickest method to get the windows done but worth the time to get them tidy. I’ll be glad to get the neck piece finished, it’s driven me up the wall, but my own fault for setting myself the challenge of doing it! 😂

You could have also just bought some pre- cut Tamiya Tape they got all 1-10 mm no need to cut this stuff by hand. Nice idea to accurate the Neck, i ll leave my Neck piece just like it is, i got myself a tiny milling tool instead of a drillhead, worked for me, i was able to cut the windows donwn half the thinkness of the plastic, the rest can be removed with a ballhead mill from the backside. Round 2 should just do a 1/1000 kit like they did with the Voyager, with todays ways designing them on the computer, they get much more accurate, plus a larger kit will be much much easier

Yes, I certainly did make it hard work for myself 😂. I’m hoping some day that Round 2 will do a revised, more detailed version of the kit, shame they haven’t already.

Easy and cheap for them do re-release a kit from the 80ths over angain! I heard that now a tooling for injection mold cost quadrippel of the 80ths because of inflation. No love for TNG fanbase from them, since TOS movies era gets all the cools nice ships! Even the Star trek lower decks gets its ship 😞@@thekitcave2654
