Thank you , me too!! An awful lot of the technical parts I learned from fellow pilots from you tube. As far as flying goes, well you can have all the sim time you want and all the book knowledge in the world but untill you take that leap of faith and put that bird in the air your never really a RC pilot. At some point you just have to say,"The heck with it I am flying "!and you do!! Now you have to land.............................it get expensive but dont give up!!!!!!!

If this makes you feel any better, I severely crashed my Apprentice while doing some stunts with it a week ago. So this time, I decided to buy a new fuselage, cowl and tail set for it. Surprisingly, the screws and pieces did not go together well on these new parts and I also had to transfer out all the electronics. Time-consuming, interesting, and fun for my skill level. I had to make some decisions on whether to trash or keep using used screws.

I put together my Tiger Moth and honestly the only thing I got hung up on was the rigging it turns out the labels where switched so I kept placing them on the wrong side until I decided to measure them and find out the mistake I guess it's a Dynam thing but I'll tell you this it flies so good it's my favorite to fly next to my Dynam T28 and Volantex 759-2 Glider.

High wing monoplanes and biplanes need to maneuver using ailerons coordinated with considerable rudder. Some sport models and warbirds can fly, once airborne, using ailerons to turn with little or no rudder input using "yank and bank". Tail skids are good for taking off from grass. Tailwheels are also good for takeoffs from grass. Tailwheels are OK for takeoffs from paved or smooth surfaces but taildraggers are ground looping prone for various reasons requiring practice and "finesse" to control ground looping. Biplane and monoplane models often have some problems with space and access for battery packs, speed controls and RC gear and problems getting CG right. Biplane models are by nature more difficult to build/assemble and get the CG right, regardless of brand.

Agree on all points, I call that flat or coordinated turn. Very useful to prevent tip stalling.
@Jack-gy7cs3 жыл бұрын
Some assembly required, but you have to supply your own Excedrin. Associated headache is included free of charge. 😂 After all that I certainly hope it flies well.

Interesting this one - the build as I understand it and from your comments is a classic DYNAM experience !!! but unlike some other Dynam aircraft which fly really really well, I have been told that it is not the easiest aircraft to fly... I took a real good look at one of these and decided not to go for it.... Good Luck on the Maiden I will be looking out for it ....

@robertcovell27873 жыл бұрын
I would be reluctant to call this a "build". To me a build is a pile of wood and a set of plans and I've done plenty of that over the years. Your issues are legitimate as they pertain to a total nube, but come on, really? Aren't we supposed to be modellers? I have only one foam plane, a Dynam Waco and yes the bottom wing needs to came off in order get at the servos and receiver but as long as the receiver is reliable and away from the battery you only do it once! I'll admit that Dynam servos are crap and I've had 2 fail in my Waco, 1 aileron servo failed but I still the other aileron so no problem landing. Had the elevator servo fail and that could have been BAD but I was able to control altitude with throttle. But really, the bottom line is that it's just a piece of cheap foam and there's no point in getting all anal about any foamy no matter what brand.
@FatGuyFliesRC3 жыл бұрын
Well I am afraid that the cheap foamies will be all there is to use as time goes by. The cost of quality pine, basa ,balsa, and other woods are sky rocketing and the manufactures of the old woodies are closing up shop right and left. Its a shame the days of plans on the table and building up air frames are quickly dying but they are. Its a art form that will truly be missed. If you need proof just monitor Hanger 9, tower hobbies or Great planes . How often are there planes restocked and how many are dropping from the line up? Foam, 3d printed and composite planes are the new reality and need to have the attention WE gave the woodies back in the day.
