I have only just finnished building my 10inch with the exact componants from Ali (2 weeks to recieve all componants). The 3rd person cam is "sooooo coooooool" it inspired me to run 2x Flight controllers (Speedy Bee F405 V4/60A stack as the main FC, center mounted with a front mounted Walksnail HD Kit 8g and a JHEMCU as the slave FC, rear mounted with a JHMCU 20-600VTX stacked, Runcam Swift is a rear center mounted forward facing cam, complete setup with custom 3D printed mounts to suit the application. Battery is 6S 4000mah 100C, inside a custom 3d printed belly mounted cradle (10sec to change out batteries, yeah this is a must) which keeps the top free and clean for rear forward facing footage. I followed your PID and Filter settings and Ive only adjusted the Drift-Wobble to 0.85. This quad is so stable and flies very well, no other additional tuning is needed. Im a 13yr RC heli pilot flying 600 size helis (with 1.350m, disc plates ), so LOS quad wieghing 1.769kg AUW (+Batt) with 10inch blades is a walk in the park. Im printing LED mounts to run 52 LEDS (in series) with power split between the 2 FC and running only 1 signal wire, so BF only sees 26 LEDs. All up build and tune - 1 month. Nice video. Have you tried putting the battery in the middle of the frame? Center of gravity affects big quads much more. A well balanced quad will fly much better. Turn the idle down, my 10 inch has dynamic idle of 12. Put the biggest battery you have on it, put 2 one on the bottom? Happy flying!

Hey thanks for the video. I have the exact same configuration and was never able to make it flight properly :) I did tried all the Inav, betaflight. Arduplane seems a bit better from stock but still not good. I will replicate your pids and fly it again soon.

@@shogunemperor yes, the solder.not the soldering iron. I have the same iron, it's a game changer, but sometimes struggle with solder wire. Iv used unleaded and also rosin core, but i think it's been poor quality. I definitely need to invest in a good roll of solder wire.

Dont know why, but my 8 and 10 inch builds fly on stock betaflight tune out of the box. I think you just need a really solid frame. I'm using the geprc pulsar 10 frame. 3215 motors on 8s

I'm actually curious to know your PIDs and Filters. Generally, the frames should be roughly the same. It shouldnt make much difference especially with that "to the moon" take off on throttle.

Did anyone catch the settings for the filter sliders? The screenshot got cut off. I too used the UAVTech 10 preset, that ended with a fly away, broken prop, broken arm brace, and a fried esc.

aaah no.. its just some micro dust particle inside the sensor. I've removed the lens and cleaned it out. It isnt there now. But I havent gotten time to fly it again since then. Will keep u posted after Im back from China bruh!!!!

Did you have any issues with these motors on start up, without the props on?. I armed mine last no props on, and they sound absolutely terrible like the whole frame is resonating or something. Do you have normal Esc configuration or Bluejay ? Cheers

@@k1ortia i find that bigger motors tend to whistle a little louder than most but so far no issues with all of mine. I tried both on normal ESC settings AND Bluejay. But i stuck with bluejay for mine. Hope that helps bruh.

Can you explain why stock configuration doesn’t work for large drones? This happened to me with the 10 inch I built. It shot up into the sky and the capacitor blew up. I’m just wondering what it is that causes this to happen? Thanks.

aaaaah... its the filters tune bruh!! SO when a macro quad filter tunes are not set to "more filtering" it doesnt have enough filters to compensate the take off. Noise from gyro, noise from motors etc... Its typical for the quad to have the "fly to the moon" on arm or throttle input. For capacitor.. it needs to be double voltage to the lipo ur using to be safe. Like 4S u need 35V 1000u and 6S 50V 1000u To compensate this, go to your PID tuning tab on betaflight, on the Filters page, set your sliders to 0.35 and 0.45 respectively. That should adjust the gyro lowpass filter and the d-term lowpass filter to compensate the noise. Alternatively, come join our discord channel where I share my tunes and filters. Hope that helps!!!
