😮 that was a quick build..... Aren't the gaps between the bonet and the front of the car rather big. And the same thing with the back engine bonet/boot part.

There’s no gap at the front. Small gap at the back. Remember when I filmed the beauty shots I had to have them partially opened to be able to lift them up. If you look at the last picture and thumbnail you will see how they look when they are closed

I think your videos are tops. The Miura has always been one of my favorite cars and the detail on this kit is amazing. For a kit that expensive and large I would expect the body panels to fit a bit tighter. That was bit of a letdown.

Thanks Wayne, wish I had thought of that. Going through my box of extra parts' from other builds, I came across 2 washers made of rubber/soft plastic which improved the fit immensely. Thanks again

Another nice looking Agora 1:8 model car and your typical, clearly done assembly. I do have a concern with the somewhat poor fit of the body with the engine cover. The interior looks to be very well made. I understand your personal preference on the name badges at the rear of the car, but for the viewing benefit of your audience, I feel they should see the completed model as it was intended to be (and, as is done on the real car). *Then you can just peel them off if you'd like. 😃

for $1600.00 id expect better fitment than a cheap 1/20th scale medal car kit costing $30 usd. the huge gap between the front section and engine bay are pretty noticeable. are those hinges adjustable? the dashboard and center console have a large gap as well. the speaker sounds like it was taken off a kids toy.

A truly beautiful model of an iconic and legendary masterpiece. All you need to do now is to take it over to Iain Tyrell's workshop [also on KZbin] to show him and the team! They are totally rebuilding this exact car! I'm sure they would be interested to see it. Not far from you either. He is based near the huge Airbus wings factory in Broughton, near Chester. Give him a call!

One of my absolute fav cars, and congrats on the build, but I am not liking how the rear fits onto the main section of the car. It looks like its not completely closed..also the trunk doesnt fir very well...For the price of this model I would expect the end result to have better fitment.

Hi there, getting to the end of my build and your videos are always helpful. I posted a note on the forum but did not get an answer except another member who had the same problem. The front wheels are wobbly despite tightening the screws as much as I can. Any suggestions? Wayne yours look solid!

I’m confused what everyone is looking at. It’s not that bad. The back section has a gap but the front is pretty flush. I suspect I hadn’t closed it fully on the video. The thumbnail shows it off much better

Can't tell if the model wasn't assembled properly or that there's something wrong with the kit, as the engine cover and bonnet both didn't look like they sat properly.

They are fine. I had them opened. If you look at the thumbnail you will see them in place. There is a bit of a gap on the back section but it aligns fine on top so not sure about that

Another question. I had a lot of trouble fitting the front chassis on to the center section and had to try to fit it by taking the spare tire out. That didn't help - so I put the tire back in and eventually wrestled the front section on to the center section. The questioin - in some earlier steps I see you had the spare tire in place but in the later steps - when putting the hood in place, the spare tire is missing. Why is it missing and did you have to take the car apart to put the spare tire back in?

No I actually only installed 1 screw in the spare tyre spindle. That way I could easily take it out and back in as it swivels around. It was easier to for the front end without the tyre in and then replace once it’s in place

I noticed you only showed the engine revving and the interior dome and taillights working - do the other features not work? That stalk switch with horn and signal switch not work?

I forgot about that. I don’t remember a signal switch in this vehicle you push the signal switch for horn and press it towards the chair to turn on the lights

I've had trouble with the doors staying closed. The hinges are tight and the door latches aren't strong enough to keep the doors closed - they keep springing open. Any suggestions besides taking the doors off and stretching/bending the hinges?

@worldofwayne question.. I know several people who are having an issue with the front hood. It seems like it hits on something that won't allow it to close properly unless you keep pressure on it. Watching your video initially your hood looks the same as mine.. you can later see you removed the spare tire.. then at the end it looks like your hood lines up well and your spare is reinstalled. . Any tips be greatly appreciated as this is driving me crazy.

I removed the tire to see if that was the hat was stopping it go down. Turns out it wasn’t that it was the black frame under the bonnet it needs to be really tightly screwed in to the underside of the bonnet. Once that’s done it should go down fine

Just started watching your video and couldn’t help noticing what looks like rust/oxidation on the trailing edge of the rear section as you were attaching the number plate lamps?

Continuing watching and I see that you’ve either swapped out the rear section and boot lid for a cleaner version or applied some t-cut as some marks remain visible. Never seen this on a 1:8 kit before, and is unusual on what should be recently manufactured parts.

I am extremely disappointed with this Miura model. None of the body panels fit well - with large gaps about the doors, boot and bonnet. The doors will not stay shut. And, most importantly, in this stage (12) the plastic skirts were warped so that they would not fit or stay in place. Even when forced into place they interfered with the movement of the doors such that the doors couldn't be used. I have asked Agora for replacement skirts but I do not hold much hope out that they will fit any better. Very disappointing model build, particularly to have the very last step in the year long process be such that the car can not be finished. I have made several Agora models - all went well - but this one was made with very poor tolerances for components.
