Build the Pro Flight Trainer PUMA X to fly RC Helicopters

This build takes you through my journey to connect the Pro Flight Trainer PUMA X to my radio control system. This allows flight of RC aircraft (helicopters in this case) using the PUMA X!
I began this project out of a love of aviation and the desire to add a helicopter rating to my fixed wing FAA Certificate. As a result, I was able to hover on my first introductory lesson in an R22. Now that I’m rated I use this rig for proficiency.
Experience needed for this project are basic soldering skills and a thorough knowledge of programmable RC radios. The ability to fly RC helicopters with the RC radio is also a must.
