Awesome design! Really surprised with how much "work" was required to use our Domino, too. Everyone makes it sound like it's an automagic tool, but you've still gotta keep a fair bit of pressure on it to keep from wandering. The tile is an AMAZING idea - especially with the backer board and grout. Great stuff!

Thanks guys, can't wait to do our colab. The domino is an awesome tool and is really accurate. The dust collection I'd have to say is one of the best qualities about it!

Could you provide details on how you framed this? Is that 2x4 you used for the countertops? And you attached with pocket holes directly to the plywood face?
@ZacJones3 жыл бұрын
For sure! I still pocket holes facing up in towards the cedar desk top and screwed it in that way. The countertop is supported on 2x4’s hopefully that helps! If not shoot me an email!

Nice build man! Why don't you open the garage door when cutting that particle backer board however?
@ZacJones5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Sean! I eventually did. I keep the garage closed because the lighting wouldn't be as good if it were open. I did it so the audience could see a bit clearer! Thanks for watching and commenting!

What’s the thing you put on top of the tile called?
@ZacJones4 жыл бұрын
The stuff on top of the tile is called grout, it fills in the gaps between the tiles for a cleaner appearance.

How much do you charge for a project like that
@ZacJones4 жыл бұрын
Cara Curti I usually charge $1000-$2000 for a desk like this depending on size and materials. This one is on the higher end because of the tile work and cedar 6/4 cedar top
