@@CautiousPancakeThere's stability in 7 Days to Die, which can be fun when you toss TNT about. Sometimes you find a nice location, but the building already in place may not be quite what you prefer, so the quickest way to break it down is blowing up a few supporting walls and beams. I like that. On the other hand, as noted above, this is a fantasy world. Perhaps a compromise in the form of floating rocks would be an idea. You want toppling buildings, you build normally. You want magical floating castles, you make special materials, perhaps at an enchanter or something. Then again, if the engine doesn't have stability at this point, I'm not sure it would be very easy for the developers to add it in. It sort of has to be built from the ground up for it. It's a whole different beast than the way destruction has worked so far in Enshrouded, unfortunately.

Enshrouded does some unique things that are not very common, if at all. There is no scaling and you can equip gear above your level, and of course the lack of required stability when building. I hope they never change it, it's a welcome addition to survival games.

I like the Minecraft meets Valheim vibe where the building and general gameplay is quite casual but surprisingly deep in term of what's possible. I'd love the addition of some more mechanical components even if we wouldn't get outright turing complete possibilities for making machines and automating stuff. So there being no stability mechanic feels fine to me as it allows us so much freedom in building. If it was more restrictive, we'd really feel it as the block palette is still quite small due to the game being in early access (though there's more than I'd have imagined for an early access title already)

I did this in a game just for grins and giggles. I built a ramp over a gorge that was enshrouded, from one peak to another peak on the opposite side. I wanted to see what the game physics deemed too long of a ramp without support. Apparently support isn't a thing in the game. It was so long it took 40 seconds of flat out running to get from one end to the other. But any part of the structure will disappear once you log out (I play on Steam) unless it's inside the area designated by the flame alters. Anyway, It never occurred to me to lay down a large foundation area and build a dwelling on it that would float. Very Cool.
