@DJTerrorOfficial9 жыл бұрын
anas khaldoun these are more professional tho
@XianTheDragon9 жыл бұрын
anas khaldoun While i agree that sol republics are good in quality and cheap, the tma-2s actually are modular because you can hot swap each part of the headphones build and make it the way you want it. Sol republics are only able to change the headband and cord, but you can go to colorware.com and change the colors of each part compared to the tma-2s being only black.
@L9Nyen9 жыл бұрын
Nate A I have to be a buzz kill, but Sol Republic is far from professional. Tracks and the HD and master ver, the amps and the HD version are far from professional. They are heavily geared towards bass and aimed towards the younger segment of the market. I've used all 4 of them. Professional headphones need to have a detailed and accurate representation of the music they are playing. The master track XC on the other hand, I have yet to try.
@rockguy1329 жыл бұрын
Don't worry your not missing much. The XC sound so shity.

The existence of burn-in for headphones is contested. It's not measurable with scientific equipment, and many people believe that it's entirely subjective. While people feel the "burn-in", in reality (perhaps) it's them getting acclimated to a new pair of headphones. Or not. What the fuck do I know.
@RadixTheTroll9 жыл бұрын
Carl M Was about to comment the same thing. And if burn-in is a thing and always makes headphones better, then why don't companies burn in their headphones before sending them out?
@abilityninja9 жыл бұрын
HaiItsMe like..... every single unit of headphone they need to ship-out they will need to burn-in first .. that would take some money to do it expecting the electricity bills , and facility that they will need to build . i do read it somewhere that some high end headphone/earphone does not need burn in , just mid level would need to be burn in as the unit is fresh from factory.
@TheJohn87659 жыл бұрын
Carl M I've always assumed it's a bit of both. Materials *do* change over time, and it makes perfect sense to me that the driver diaphragm will need a bit of time to loosen up and stretch to fit the exact environment it now is in. Manufacturing tolerances aren't perfect after all.
@Bynming9 жыл бұрын
TheJohn8765 Do materials changing necessarily change the sound? I wouldn't say that much. Given how much bad information and outright snake oil there is in the land of audiophiles, it's hard to know what's true, what's partially true and what's complete BS. I admit I don't know, but I'm leaning toward burn-in being either non-existent or so limited people can't actually tell the difference.
@wright96d9 жыл бұрын
Carl M "it's them getting acclimated to a new pair of headphones" I'd say you're right. For me, going from bass heavy skull candies to neutral M50s took a while to get used to.

this is typical danish design, new thinking, simple, quailty products, that is what makes be proud to be a Dane. but buy the tma 2 instead of the tma 1, the tma 1 have a tendency to break (headband)

@samuelspencer50478 жыл бұрын
+Eros Osborn I had something better to do that to watch this disappointing video, the title got my interest as assumed it to be building headphones, only to find out that they guy is assembling various components. You all need to identify the difference between building and assembling; don't worry I am here to help you comprehend the difference, Building is the process to which resources/components are being utilised to create a product Assembly is the process of integrating different components. Tell me how can he be building if the headphone had already been built and the components being disassembled and ready for the owner of the headphones to reassemble it?

I'm pretty sure there's somewhat of a huge misconception about headphones, and a lot of ignorance (please correct me if I'm wrong). A GOOD pair of headphones, should always be designed for ALL types of music. They should be as perfectly balanced as possible and generate the closest representation of the original recording exactly as it was supposed to sound, rather than alter the balance to have more bass or treble.

+250 bucks for a decent configuration??? WHAT THE FUCK? You take out assembly out of these headphones build costs and you charge extra for what? Name recognition? have everybody heard of AIAIAI Before?? What makes a company think you can just jump in to basically one of the best tiers for decent Hi-Fi Headphones with a gimmick like "BUILD IT YOURSELF" and ask exactly the same price as a Sennheiser or Audio Technica premium headphone?? What is the point?? If these headphones where exactly around 150 bucks for a single configuration they would be nice but 250 bucks? they must be pretty darn moronic and only a person who knows nothing about headphones would fall for this scam.

I just hope AiAiAi have sorted out their build quality issues, mainly to do with their headband durability. I have been through FIVE pairs of their TMA-1s. All of which have snapped across the headband with very moderate use and never transported in a bag or handled poorly. The reason why I have had so many pairs is because I bought them through a 3rd party site, I'm not entitled to a refund, just a 2 year replacement guarantee. When the last pair snapped and they wouldn't replace them (passed 2 years), I had to gaffer tape them up for a few months until I could afford a pair of Sennheiser HD-25s, which have performed flawlessly and who have been modular for years might I add. Anyways, I've never had any issues with their sound, just their build quality. I wish them all the best if they have sorted those problems out.

Only if these were sold in Arg and they were cheap... only if the sh*tty headhones/earbuds that they sell here weren't so crappy, $248 AR$ spent on brand new Sony's MDR ZX-300, one year, jack stopped working and the cables were cut, i buy another pair of these, again, one year and the same problem, i may be 13 years old but i take good care of my stuff, products like those need to be check'd to see if they can do their job during a long period because if they can't then why do you sell it?

This is what happens when factory worker get lazy and complaints about having to assemble every piece of hardware to make a complete product. So they tell their boss to get the consumer to assemble it themselves and call it a "modular" design. Then we get Lew here fascinated by the idea.

How do these sound in comparison to the ATH-M50X? I like these but the M50X's are less expensive and proven, but the one button remote is a great add on and upgrade and change depending on the user.

sennheiser did this 25 years ago. kinda. Sennheiser HD25s are completely modular and user serviceable, the only difference is that there were never different parts, just replacements for the ones you already had :D

Does anyone else think this "Jack" person is just a make believe friend? Maybe he is working in this new studio all by himself and talks to inanimate objects that he has unboxed?! I think its a possible theory.

I would bet that I'd just never use anything from the first package again... so no point to this product for me. I'll just buy what I need.
