For anyone reading this, its now a better idea to use the FD2 civic Type R oil pump instead of the RSX type S oil pump. No need for cutting and grinding. Only when using the 8th gen oilpan, it also seats deeper into the oil pan, which help with oil starvation issues in cornering. You can even find it cheaper than the Type S oil pump as well.

I'm watching this video right after doing mine. Only planning to reseal the oil pan then saw the lower bolt on the oil pump chain guide loose. End up doing type s pump and 50 degree vtc. Mine was stripped and have to use helicoil to use same size bolt. I also used a billet timing chain guide on the bottom that bolts up to the oil pump chain guide
