my kit is the same but the hall wiring from the wheel didnt come terminated into a plug, its just pins with a shroud over it. Does this mean I should not connect it or do I still need to?

When you say the battery is “10 amp”, you mean “10amp-hours”, correct? Amps are a measure of current. Amp-hours are a measure of battery storage capacity.
