Your back to uploading! Your channel was one of the main reasons why I decided to build my channel around an SC drift build! Thanks for the inspiration 🤙🏽

Sick ass video, was wondering how you did the black insert on your flared fenders? Looks sick!
@ckeala892 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I appreciate it. Sorry I was meaning to get back to you about that in the other video. That black insert on the fender is something I was trying to make but never finished it. Its been a while but it’s still in the works

How was it drifting with the auto? I am looking to start a similar project for my SC300/Soarer. I have two options I am currently running into and I am not sure what is the better choice. A) Buy an Automatic Soarer with 1jz GTE and do the manual swap later or B) Buy an SC300 with higher miles that is a manual and do a motor swap later. Any suggestions? Do you think the High mileage Sc300 motor can hold its own for a little while or is it worth going with the Soarer and then doing the manual swap?

It wasn’t too bad. If it’s all you got, it can be pretty fun. But I wouldn’t settle for it though. Depends on what your budget is. If you can, manual soarer would be the move. To source manual pedals and such for a rhd can be a challenge. But also, the stock manual transmission(w58) for the sc300 isn’t the greatest. R154 trans would be a solid replacement but are getting expensive(It’s what the manual soarer comes with, turbo mk3 Supra does as well)When I did my manual swap on my first SC, I ended up going with a 06+ 350z transmission(CD009), which is the same setup I went on this SC. It’ll cost a little more than going R154 but to replace the transmission is much cheaper if something were to go wrong. CD009 are also known to withstand high HP. Non VVT-i 2jz-GE engines are good and can push decent HP numbers with a turbo setup. The newer VVT-i 2jz-GE has weaker rods and can’t hold as much power. I’ve had SCs with over 200k miles and still ran very good. I’ve seen someone with a sc300 with over 300k miles, slapped a turbo on it and made over 400whp that lasted for several years. If you want something you can buy and drive right away, soarer would be a good choice. If you don’t mind getting your hands dirty, I would go with a auto SC300 and piece together a manual swap using a CD009 transmission. Stock engine is good enough for drifting. For drifting, you will need a few things to make it a good time. -welded diff or LSD -coil overs -modified knuckles *increases steering angle* -adjustable suspension arms *alignment* -bucket seat/harness *really sucks sliding around in your seat when trying to drift* You could go with a stock manual(w58) SC300 but my guess would be that the trans would go before the engine. I guess it comes down to how much you are willing to spend and how much work you are willing to do. A stock auto soarer wouldn’t be bad for drifting but keep in mind that you’ll need what I listed to make it a good time.
