Dude! Seeing the Venator bridge large enough to house a Tantive IV inside it...WOW!!! I can't wait to see how this goes along. I'm hoping, once it's all done and semi-modular, it will be easy enough for you to potentially film it somewhere large enough that you can back up, walk all around it, and also stage more of the micro fleet around it as well. It really is hard to tell relative size of ships even in the movies or shows, because it doesn't always include sufficient perspective with known things. A final build video like that would be amazing to see (along with its final resting place in your Lego skybox)!
@2bricks2 күн бұрын
Busy day!! Took me a minute to get to everyone’s comments! Yes I think going even a bit more modular than I originally planned is a great idea! I sort of already feel myself heading that way as I keep thinking about what I could break off or have open-up-able! There’s a long road ahead so we will see!

Bro, I immediatly subscribed. Im really exited to see final model. But Im worried that even with huge technic frame inside, its still gonna bend, even if you reduce weight to the minimum. Maybe you can use big yellow frames from 42146 liebherr crane, but I still dont think its gonna be enough.

1:12 im american how many walmart parking lots is that??
@QtheLaserDude2 күн бұрын
About 12.
@QtheLaserDude2 күн бұрын
Okay, actually I became kinda curious. The average Walmart is 55 meters wide, according to Google, and if we assume the parking lot runs alongside the actual structure, to allow space on both sides for semi's to circle the building, let's safely assume the lot itself spans an additional 10 meters on each side, so 75 meter parking lots. The Venator is stated in-universe to be 1137 meters long, from end to end. I'll use both a 55 meter lot, and a 75 meter lot to give us a range of how many lots make up a Venator. So after some simple math, we find that a Venator class ship is approximately 15.16-20.67 average American Walmart parking lots long. The bridge alone would stretch about 2.5 lots long, which leads me to believe the scale the Star Wars universe puts on those things isn't quite right, cause we see plenty kf the interior bridges in multiple forms of media, and I ain't never seen one able to fit that many shopping carts.

On the diagonal parts of the hull, I'd be wary of calculating their angle this way: since the hull is sloped, the angle shown on a top-down projection is not the angle you'll have to do when building it flat.

Is it just me or does the Venator look like a very big gungan face from frontal top down look to someone else too? When you take the two bridges as the eyes and the long superstructure as the rest of the face
