Hey could you guys please make a video where you sit down with your dad and talk about how black forest wood started and what it took to get where your at today? I know a video like that would be very inspirational for a lot of woodworkers out there and would probably be one of your most popular ones.

Use Charlie’s picture with the tape for a billboard. I think the pandemic gave lots of us time to explore KZbin and when I found your site I stuck with it because it was something to anticipate. Maybe that’s why your cures and subscribers went up. And I assume people had more time to make stuff so you were a good source. And Dylan, you are a good presenter and people like you. That helps. And Charlie is cool too. The x-base is beautiful as I’ve said before. Your audience wants to see you do well. In the future we will see you with kids who lead the 3rd generation of Black Forest. Have a great New Year. You helped me have some fun during 2020.

Happy New Year! So fun to watch your videos. I have to ask you: doesn’t your epoxy require respiratory mask? Doesn’t it “stink” like so many other resins?
@BlackForestWoodCo
@BlackForestWoodCo 3 жыл бұрын
Our epoxy has very low VOCs and can be used without a respirator if you have efficient air cleaning in place. Since our air is constantly filtered and cleaned with air cleaners we can still be safe. For most people at home, at respirator is a good idea!

Very nice table there. In your previous videos Dylan you stressed applying the Osmo 1101 very sparingly to make sure it cures completely. But lately I’ve noticed it’s being applied more heavily in some instances. Is incomplete curing of the 1101 not thought to be so much of a problem now?

Would you consider taking on a 65 year old apprentice? On a serious note, I just finished pouring a spalted diamond willow burl river table , after flattening and sanding i do not want to use epoxy to finish coat as it will darken and hide the grain . I see you recommend osmo finish, will it darken the grain ? I have used OB shine juice on turned willow and that is the look I'm going for , have you ever tried it on your tables

So how much does that piece of wood cost? Unless that thing is some rare impossible piece of wood I can’t understand what makes it 17,000$

I do reclaimed long leaf pine furniture and tear down the barns. I'm lucky to get 8k for a 10ft dining table.

Dear Black Forest, I see that you have come out with your ceramic coating product. I’m interested in purchasing your product. Do you plan on making any videos regarding this product as applied to a live edge/epoxy table? I only ask as your product line contains a plethora of items and I’m unsure of what would exactly be needed to finish a 5’ by 3’ epoxy/walnut table I’m building. I appreciate your time with this and thoroughly enjoy your videos. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Sincerely, Dick Head
