Justin built his engine based on the test mule Butler made to test the IAII block, it made 2800hp/tq way back 20 years ago. they have an article about it on their website. Check it out, its a really cool build. Its virtually the same, except the mule didn't have as much port work as Justin's engine. The 63 LeMans belongs to Rodney. This was on TV well after Justin was building his engine. As it happens, I have the same port work in the heads on my 467 that I ordered from Butler while I was deployed to Kuwait back in 2004. Later this year they are going on a 505 cube bottom end Butler is doing for me right now. Mine is not going to be a 3000hp mill like in the crow. When I throw boost to it, the most it will ever see is 20psi. That should be good for an easy 1500 to 2000hp, if I want to get that 'stupid' with it. Still have to build the car its going in. I'm not doing it to be competitive with the big dogs or set the world on fire, no way I can keep up with the crow using the parts in my 'on the way' engine. I am not intending it for that. I can't afford a build like that for one, I have less invested in my house than what that bottom end would cost. I have something I want to do, and this is probably the last time I will be able to afford to do it. How do I know all of this? Well... I kinda know people, and consider Jim to be a personal friend. The Pontiac world is rather small, we tend to know each other to some extent.

I built a similar system for my 1976 Bandit TransAm about 10 yrs ago. Butler stroker crank, eagle BBC rods, ported factory 6H heads. 9:1 Ross pistons. I had Butler make a solid roller cam 224/224 and 600 lift on 114 LCs. Twin Garrett GTX3076Rs at 12psi, no intercooler. Through the factory T10 and 3.08 gears, that car will spin the 335s from 55-100mph in 3rd gear without clutching it. The low rpm torque is fun, but yeah, its a little scary.

My buddy put a turbo 3.8 out of a T type into a 65 buick Skylark. It's surprisingly quick and definitely turns some heads since the sound doesn't match the car/speed at all.

Snails are one of the slowest organisms on Earth until you bolt a couple to your engine. Upon doing so they'll continue leaving a sticky icky path of where they've been.

Why put a Pontiac in a Buick? Nothing against the Pontiac but Buick made excellent of there own. Not to mention a history of turbocharging.

This aired in 2002, probably filmed in 2001, maybe earlier. LS swaps were still rather new at that time.
