I reviewed the LNEX battery monitor as well. Works good, and is better quality than a lot of the others. They need to fix that spelling error on the front though.

Thanks for showing off the new equipment. I was wondering does the charge controller provide an accurate reading of the state of charge? Or do you definitely need that monitor for that purpose?

The charge controller is dead on accurate, The monitor is nice because the charge controller is on the inside of the box but it works very well.

Nope its not hard, there are tons of build videos online too that will walk you through step by step, its really just a matter of a battery and red and black wires, positive and negative Once you see how simple it is you will want to build one of your own, does not need to be as complex as this one
