I had an entire wardrobe of Gunne Sax in the 70s. Every formal I attended in the 80s I wore Jessica McClintock/Gunne Sax!! I still love it!!!

I like to add colors to my cottagecore looks, so here's some color i usually use to help complement and make them more cohesive. if you like pink, then greens browns and whites look AMAZING with pink. Yellow, i style with both black and browns, as well as off whites. For oranges, i do browns and off whites. Don't be afraid to experiment with colors because a lot of colors look really good with the cottagecore look. Normally pastel or desaturated colors fit the cottagecore look better than brighter colors;However do what ye will.

I love both cottagecore and dark academia but my main problem is that all individual pieces are kinda expansive :\ pleated skirts, blazers, corset dresses: its never on sale and i don't have good thrift shops around me... still LOVED your video though!

I get that, it can definitely be expensive! Have you tried thrifting online? I’ve found some decently priced pieces on apps like depop, poshmark, and thredup (if those are available where you live)!

Now that the fashion isn't trendy there are so many items on sale, I always wait a year or something (sometimes not even half a year anymore) and then I get the things for cheap. If I don't want to get it anymore I think I shouldn't have gotten it when it was trendy anyways
